‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ director Anees Bazmee injures leg, undergoes surgery | More details here

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ director Anees Bazmee fractured his leg during a 15-day location recce. He received first aid on-site but was later taken to Mumbai where he underwent surgery. Doctors have reportedly recommended 6 months of bed rest after inserting a steel plate in his leg.

‘He fractured his right leg with three cracks and was suggested a bed-rest for 6 months with a plastered leg following the natural process of healing. The filmmaker decided to take basic treatment from the local hospital at the spot of recce and returned to Mumbai. He consulted top doctors, who gave him the option of a steel plate followed by a 3-month rest or surgery. Anees instantly decided to undergo surgery,’ a source informed Pinkvilla.

Under the guidance of medical experts, the surgery was conducted in Mumbai on February 11. Despite his passion for work, Bazmee returned to his office on February 13, engaging in meetings.

‘With a script in hand, a walking frame next to him, and a fractured leg, the spirits are high and Bazmee is ready to shoot for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik and Vidya Balan in March,’ the source added.

It further shared that the filmmaker will begin shooting for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ on March 10.

The third film in the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise will see the return of OG Manjulika aka Vidya Balan.

On February 12, Kartik Aaryan shared a montage of scenes from 'Ami Je Tomar' dance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, alongside Vidya Balan's iconic performance from the original. He expressed excitement for Vidya Balan's return in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, writing, ‘Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 @aneesbazmee @tseries.official #BhushanKumar.’

Recent reports suggest Madhuri Dixit may join Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. However, there's no official confirmation yet.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is set to release on Diwali this year. T-Series posted a picture in January featuring Bhushan Kumar, Anees Bazmee, and Kartik Aaryan. The female lead is yet to be announced, with Sara Ali Khan speculated as a potential candidate. However, discussions with various actors are ongoing.
