'Bad Newz' trailer: Vicky, Triptii, Ammy's film is a rollercoaster of emotions with a shocking surprise

The wait is finally over! Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri's much-awaited film 'Bad Newz' trailer has been released. The film has been helmed by Bandish Bandits fame director Anand Tiwari. In the short yet captivating trailer, we get a sneak peek into the world of Vicky and Triptii's characters in the film. The story is based on true events and will hit theatres on July 19.

The much-awaited trailer shows Triptii, Vicky and Ammy in a tricky love triangle. Triptii, as shown in the film, gets pregnant with two kids, from two different fathers. It is known as Heteropaternal superfecundation. The comic 2-minute 57-second trailer shows the confusion that follows as the two fathers, Vicky and Ammy fight to prove who makes a better father.

The announcement of the film was made in March. Taking to Instagram, Karan Johar made the big announcement. The director revealed that Triptii, Vicky and Ammy's new film is a comedy-drama inspired by true events.

'Bad Newz' marks the second collaboration for Vicky and Anand. They previously worked together in 'Love per Square Foot' (2018), which also featured his wife, Angira Dhar.

The cast wrapped the film's shoot last year and looks like we will finally see the film in the theatres soon.
