'Bachchhan Paandey' box office collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer earns ₹ 13.25 Cr

The Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Bachchan Paandey' opened up to a massive crowd on the Day 1. Despite tough competition from 'The Kashmir Files', the film has managed to collect ₹13.25 crores on its opening day.

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the news on social media. He wrote, "#BachchhanPaandey surprises, hits double digits on Day 1, despite [i] #TKF wave, [ii] limited showcasing and [iii] post-noon screenings due to #Holi festivities… #Mumbai, #Gujarat, mass pockets lead… Biz should grow on Day 2 and 3… Fri ₹ 13.25 cr. #India biz."

Directed by Farhad Samji, Bachchhan Paandey also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles. The film sees Akshay as a gangster while Kriti essays the role of a journalist.

The numbers are expected to soar higher on Day 2 and Day 3. However, 'The Kashmir Files' has still outdone 'Bachchhan Paandey', earning ₹19.15 crore on Friday.
