Ayushmann Khurrana to star in Sourav Ganguly's biopic: report

Ayushmann Khurrana has been confirmed for Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg's much-anticipated biopic on Indian cricket legend Sourav Ganguly as per exclusive update, Times of India reported.

The sports biopic will be directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and it stands out as one of the most anticipated Hindi films in the pipeline. An official announcement regarding the collaboration is still awaited. The reports say that the formalities have recently been completed, and he has officially signed on for the project. Ayushmann is known for his left-handed batting style, which is being considered the best choice for playing Sourav, who is also left-handed.

The reports also say that the film will go on the floors in 2024 while the exact shooting timeline is yet to be finalized.

Ayushmann was last seen in ‘Dream girl 2’ which performed well on the box office. The actor also has ‘Badhaai 2’ in pipeline which is scheduled for release on December 15, 2024.
