Aryan Khan's debut series as writer begins, to go on floors by year end: Report

Actor Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan’s son Aryan Khan is all set to make his debut as a writer with a web series. According to ETimes, the casting for the series has started and potential names could be finalised soon. It also states that Aryan's web series will go on floors by the end of this year. ‘Multiple actors have been giving auditions for the web series and going by the rate at which the work has started, the show may go on the floor by the end of the year,’ the publication reported.

The show is said to be focused around the film industry. It is also rumoured that ‘Jersey’ actor Prit Kamani could be part of this show. Writer Bilal Siddiqui is also working on the web series along with Aryan. Bilal had earlier co-written the Netflix show ‘Bard Of Blood,’ that starred Emraan Hashmi in the lead role.

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan had said that Aryan has more interest in direction and writing, rather than acting. ‘He's been writing, directing, and learning stuff for four years. It’s one of the highest levels of studies at the University of Southern California to become a filmmaker. My daughter wants to act. She also has to attend a four-year course in theatre. So I think both of them should study.’ ETimes quoted him as saying.

Aryan Khan was given clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the cruise drugs case in May this year. He was arrested in the case on October 2 last year, and the Bombay High Court had granted him bail after 25 days.
