Argentina wins FIFA World Cup: Celebrities celebrate the crowning moment of Lionel Messi and his men

Argentina defeated two-time champions France 4-2 on penalties in 2022 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday. There couldn't have been a better final than this as it was filled with twists and turns. It was even more special as it was Lionel Messi's final world cup, and he won it.

Bollywood celebrities took to social media soon after the match ended and congratulated the legend, Lionel Messi.

Megastar Shah Rukh Khan dropped a sweet message on Twitter soon after Argentina was declared the winner. In his post, he recalled watching World Cup with his mom, late Lateef Fatima Khan, on a small TV just like he watched the recent match with his kids and shared the same excitement with them. He thanked Messi for making us all believe in talent, hard work, and dreams!!

Kartik Aaryan, who was among many others B-Town stars who witnessed the final match live in the stadium, took to Instagram and posted a picture of Messi with a crown, captioned: ‘#Shehzada’.

He also posted a series of videos and pictures in the story section of Instagram.

Alia Bhatt posted a picture of Messi holding the trophy on Instagram story with a series of red heart emojis.

Farhan Akhtar also penned a long note on social media. Calling it ‘one of the most incredible finals ever played’, he said that his heart goes out to K Mbappe and the resilient French squad but Argentina and Messi were destined to win. Farhan concluded his post saying that the hangover of this emotional roller coaster will last a long long time.

Ananya Panday, Nimrat Kaur are among many other celebrities who have extended their best wishes to Argentina on social media.
