Arbaaz Khan deems it 'inappropriate' for his ex-girlfriend Giorgia Andriani to discuss their breakup

Arbaaz Khan tied the knot with Shura Khan on December 24, 2023, in a private nikah ceremony. Around the same time, his ex-girlfriend Giorgia Andriani spoke about him in interviews, stating they remain 'very good friends' and she's 'still very fond of him'. Arbaaz has since responded to Giorgia's recent interviews, describing them as 'a little inappropriate'.

‘It’s unfortunate’

He told The Indian Express that he broke up with Giorgia two years before he even met Shura. A few days before his wedding, Giorgia had told Hindustan Times, ‘It took us a long time to make this decision, but we eventually decided to part ways mutually.’ However, Arbaaz believes she didn't have to talk about their relationship and that it was ‘unfortunate and inappropriate.’

‘I know some of the recent interviews somehow give the feeling that things were right till the end, which is not true. It is unfortunate that I have to sit here and make such clarification but my previous relationship was over almost one and half years before I even met Shura,’ he told the publication.

He added, ‘I had a year of dating period with her. There was no timeline given in those interviews and such interviews make people believe that ‘Oh I moved from this into that’. But that’s not true. I was not dating anyone for almost a year and a half till I met Shura. That is the reality.’

Arbaaz also mentioned that he feels Giorgia shouldn’t have discussed their relationship. He said, ‘The world knew I was dating this person, now he has moved on, I have moved on, probably he is seeing someone else at this point and it is not appropriate for me to talk.’

He concluded by saying, ‘I don’t know what may have compelled somebody to do that, but now all is well and one wishes people who were in the past well as well. I know they have moved on and they had moved on a long back, it’s just that the timing of the interviews without giving a timeline as to when they were separated was noticeable, I was waiting for an opportunity to speak about it. When you talk about certain things you have to be mindful and careful because you are talking about somebody else.’

Arbaaz and Giorgia relationship

Arbaaz and Giorgia were in a relationship since 2018, but news of their breakup emerged in 2023. Giorgia confirmed the split in December 2023, stating it was mutual and expressing that she'll 'always have feelings' for him. She explained to Pinkvilla, ‘I think since the beginning we both knew that it wouldn't have lasted forever. Because we are very different, we both knew that. But neither of us had the courage to admit that.’
