AP Dhillon Breaks Silence On Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Shooting; Singer Shows Defiance, Posts This Video

AP Dhillon fans were sent into a frenzy after reports of shots fired outside the Punjabi singer’s Vancouver home on September 1 surfaced online.

Hours after the incident, the singer took to Instagram to assure fans of his safety, expressing gratitude for their support.

‘I'm safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out. Your support means everything (folded hands emoji). Peace and love to all,’ he wrote.

At the same time, AP Dhillon posted a video of himself jamming to his song ‘Sweet Flower’, captioned, ‘Keep spreading love.’

Fans responded to his post with supportive comments.

A purported post is being circulated where gangster, Rohit Godara, is claiming that the firing took place at two locations in Canada - Victoria Island and Woodbridge Toronto.

Godara, who is associated with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has claimed responsibility for the incident. The gangsters reportedly warned Dhillon to ‘stay within his limits or face a dog's death,’ due to his alleged connections with actor Salman Khan.

Recently, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt featured in AP Dhillon's music video for the song ‘Old Money.’Canadian law enforcement is currently investigating the authenticity of the threats and the details surrounding the shootings. No official statement has been issued by the police yet.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has vowed revenge against Salman Khan since the actor was accused of hunting a blackbuck in Rajasthan in 1998. The Bishnoi community in Rajasthan holds the blackbuck in high regard. In April this year, the gang fired warning shots outside Salman’s Bandra residence, similar to the recent incident outside Dhillon’s home.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has disclosed that Salman Khan is the top target on a list of ten individuals that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi intended to eliminate.

This is not the first instance of Lawrence Bishnoi being linked to threats against Punjabi artists. In November 2023, he claimed responsibility for a shooting at singer Gippy Grewal's house in Vancouver's White Rock neighborhood.

AP Dhillon is renowned for merging 80s-style synth-pop with Punjabi music. His rapid ascent on the global stage is attributed to hits like Brown Munde, Excuses, Summer High, With You, Dil Nu, and Insane, among others.
