Another plot to attack Salman Khan uncovered, Navi Mumbai police arrest four members of Bishnoi gang

More than a month after two men fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai, the Navi Mumbai police have uncovered another plot to target the Bollywood superstar. Four suspects linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested.

4 Bishnoi gang members arrested

The Navi Mumbai police have arrested four members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for allegedly planning to attack Salman Khan. An FIR has also been registered in the case against more than 17 people including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Goldy Brara and more.

The arrested accused have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan, according to the police officials.

Plot to attack Salman Khan?

The arrested accused were reportedly planning to attack Salman Khan in his car in Panvel. 16-17 people of the gang reportedly conducted recce near Salman’s Panvel farmhouse for the same. Police sources suggest that the gangsters were reportedly in touch with Pakistan based supplier to acquire weapons to carry out the attack.

Salman Khan’s residence firing incident

On April 14, two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. The two accused were later arrested from Gujarat. Two more accused were arrested from Punjab. However, one of them died inside the lock-up toilet on May 1.
Salman Khan’s security has been increased since the attack as he also received death threats. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had also visited Salman Khan’s residence, assuring him of safety.
