Annu Kapoor resumes work shortly after heart attack; here’s why

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor recently talked about his heart attack. He said that he suffered a heart attack a few days ago but has resumed work now. He also added that he was eager to resume work because of his sense of responsibility.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, he said, ‘A sense of responsibility. Yes health is equally important, but also because we are one of those who have struggled and gotten ahead in life. Therefore work also is an essential part and reason for me to be back. For example, I have a weekly column I write for a newspaper, I know that is my responsibility. Similarly goes for my other commitments. If every person in this country has that sense of responsibility, then no other country will be better than ours.’

The actor who will star in Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s biopic said about his role, ‘Meri liye kabhi koi cheez asaan rahi nahi. Jab main Antakshri host karta tha, voh bhi asaan nahi tha.’

Annu Kapoor also expressed his gratitude towards fans and said, ‘I’m happy and grateful for the support of my fans and the industry. Main bahut abhari hoon. I sincerely pay my gratitude to all the people who prayed, and didn’t pray, for me.’

Annu was admitted to a Delhi hospital on January 27 after complaint of chest pain. He is currently shooting for ‘Dream Girl 2’, ‘Nonstop Dhamaal’ and a few other projects. He is in the acting industry for over 40 years.
