Anjali Arora looks ethereal in this groovy recreation of 'Sajna Hai'

Actor, influencer, and television star Anjali Arora is back with a new song and we couldn't be more excited! The 'Lock Upp' and 'Kacha Badam' girl is winning hearts all over again with a new recreation of 'Sajna Hai Mujhe after the success of ‘Saiyyan Dil Mein Aana Re'

Released by Saregama, the music video shows Anjali grooving to the iconic tunes of 'Sajna Hai Mujhe' in a gorgeous outfit. Decked up in jewellery and looking ethereal in a beautiful red saree, the actress effortlessly conveys the playful longing of 'Sajna Hai', sending hearts racing this festive season.

Originally sung by Asha Bhosle and featured in the classic ‘Saudagar’ (1973), the song has been recreated with a modern twist by Gourov Dasgupta. Singer Shruti Rane has voiced this peppy romantic number. The additional lyrics are by Sandy Taneja.

Anjali has appeared in several music videos such as ‘Saiyyan Dil Mein Aana Re’, ‘Temporary Pyar’, ‘Teri Bargi’, ‘Shayad Fir’ and many more in the past.

Sharing her experience of working on ‘Sajna Hai’, Anjali Arora says, ‘ Yeh gaana is my personal favourite! I have given it all. This is a beautiful recreation by Gourov, capturing the essence of the original yet doing its own thing. The song is filled with love, passion, and a lot of yearning. I had a great time recreating this iconic number and I'm looking forward to everyone's reactions . I am hoping that this becomes a hit and my audience loves it!’

Composer Gourov Dasgupta has worked on noteworthy films like ‘Dus Kahaniya’, ‘Ankur Arora Murder Case’, ‘Kaabil’, ‘The Big Bull’, ‘Chehre’, ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’, and others. He has also belted out hit singles like ‘Tere Do Naina’, ‘Saiyyonee’ and the recent ‘Dynamite’.

On recreating 'Sajna Hai Mujhe' for modern audiences, Gourov says, ‘Ravindra Jain was a major composer in the 70s and 80s. He created several timeless songs, including Sajna Hai Mujhe, which was a big hit. My intention with this one was to craft something fun and unique. I've updated the track keeping in mind its beauty and simplicity. Shruti Rane is a talented singer who understood my vision and Anjali was an absolute rockstar on set!’

Speaking on the release of 'Sajna Hai', Shruti says, ‘It was a huge honour for me to sing this recreation of Asha Bhosle ji's classic song. I literally grew up on her music! 'Sajna Hai' is an upbeat, endearing, and entertaining track. I've collaborated with Gourov in the past and he always comes up with something truly amazing. And I absolutely love how Anjali has performed this number!’
