Anant-Radhika wedding: Ambanis conclude festivities with reception for employees; Akshay Kumar attends

Wrapping up the wedding celebrations for billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant, the final reception was held at Jio World Drive in Mumbai on July 15.

Unlike the previous grand events, this intimate gathering was exclusively for the Ambani family’s household staff and Reliance employees, showing heartfelt appreciation for their dedicated service. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who had missed the wedding and related functions due to testing positive for the Coronavirus, made an appearance at the event, accompanied by his wife, author and columnist Twinkle Khanna.

Anant Ambani also delivered a heartfelt speech, as seen in a recently viral video.

Anant began his speech with ‘Jai Shree Ram’. He continued, ‘A heartfelt welcome to all of you. We are so grateful that you have come here with your entire families. On behalf of my entire family, I extend a warm welcome to you all. First and foremost, I would like to express my deep gratitude for your efforts in organizing this event for my and Radhika’s wedding. Many employees from Reliance and H.N. Hospital are present here, as well as numerous members of the JWC team. We are deeply thankful to the JWC team, as this entire event has been possible due to their hard work. Let’s give a big round of applause for the JWC team.’

He added, ‘Everyone present here at Antilia, including our employees and those from Seawind where I grew up, are like family to us. My brothers, sisters, and parents alike appreciate your presence. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, as it is because of you that we remain safe and our home is well-maintained. Many employees from EPG are also here, ensuring our safety, and for that, we are extremely thankful to them and their families. Additionally, numerous officers and soldiers from CRPF are present, and we owe them our deepest gratitude for their constant readiness to sacrifice for our country.’

Anant concluded, ‘Many employees of the Mumbai Police are also here, and I am equally grateful to them. The media fraternity is present too, and we thank them as well. Without your support, our family would not be complete. You all contribute to our unity and strength, making you an integral part of our family. As my father mentioned, please stay and enjoy the meal. Before departing, please impart your blessings upon Radhika and me. I sincerely ask for your blessings for our future, and may you and your families also prosper. This is my humble request to all of you—Jai Shri Ram!’

Meanwhile, Salman Khan took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to extend his heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds.

Sharing an adorable monochrome picture of the couple from their wedding day, Salman wrote, ‘Anant and Radhika, Mr. and Mrs. Anant Ambani, I see the love that you have for each other and each other’s families. The universe has got you together. Wish you all the happiness and health. God bless you both! Can’t wait to dance when you become the most wonderful parents.’
