Amitabh Bachchan to play to lead in courtroom drama 'Section 84'

Actor Amitabh Bachchan has announced his next project, a courtroom thriller drama, titled ‘Section 84’. He will play the lead role in the film, which is written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The film will mark Ribhu and Big B’s third collaboration after ‘Yudh’ (Indian Television thriller miniseries released in 2014) and ‘Te3n’ (2016).

Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to share the news. Sharing a clip, he wrote, ‘a delight once again to be in the company of distinguished creative minds for this new venture , and the challenge it provokes, for me ..’

According to India Today, ‘Section 84’ director Ribhu Dasgupta talked about working with Big B and said, ‘I feel happy, blessed, and honoured to collaborate with Sir again. Looking forward to it.’ Producer Vivek B Agrawal (Reliance Entertainment) said, ‘It’s an honour to have Mr. Bachchan on board in our next film and I'm thrilled to be starting this adventure with him and Ribhu in Section 84.’

‘Section 84’ is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar, and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
