Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan reveal combined assets worth ₹1578 crore, including luxury car collection

Jaya Bachchan, who recently featured in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ has disclosed assets valued at ₹1,578 crore alongside her husband, the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. She is poised for her fifth Rajya Sabha term as the Samajwadi Party has renominated her from Uttar Pradesh.

According to the India Today report, the combined movable property of Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan is valued at ₹849.11 crore, with immovable property amounting to ₹729.77 crore. Additionally, Jaya's bank balance is reported to be ₹10.11 crore, while Amitabh's is ₹120.45 crore.

Another report in Times of India mentions that Jaya owns jewellery worth ₹40.97 crore and a car valued at ₹9.82 lakh. Amitabh, on the other hand, possesses jewellery valued at ₹54.77 crore and 16 cars, including two Mercedes and a Range Rover.

The couple's combined assets encompass property acquired through diverse sources. Jaya accumulates wealth from endorsements, her MP salary, and professional fees, while Amitabh's income is derived from interest, rent, dividends, capital gains, and revenue generated by a solar plant, as per the report.

Jaya Bachchan was last seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ directed by Karan Johar. The family drama, which also starred Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh, hit theatres on July 28, 2023, and garnered success at the box office.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in ‘Ganapath’ alongside Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff. He will soon be seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a bilingual film shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. It will release in theatres on May 9, 2024.

Big B also has ‘Butterfly’ and Kannada film ‘Vettaiyan’ in the pipeline.
