Gangubai Kathiawadi release date: 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' was initially scheduled to release on July 30 but got pushed due to production delays to Jan 6, 2022. The film's release date has been pushed again.

Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' delayed again; here's the new release date

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' has been delayed yet again.

Just months after Sanjay Leela Bhansali picked January 6, 2022, as his release date, Bhansali Productions announced that the film will now release on 18 February 2022.

The film was earlier scheduled to hit the big screens on September 11, 2020. In January 2021, the makers announced that the movie will be released sometime in 2021 but it was pushed again due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The period drama, adapted from one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi's book, 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai', features Alia Bhatt in the title role of Gangubai, one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1960s.

'Gangubai Kathiawadi' also has cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn and Huma Qureshi.
