Alia Bhatt's daughter reminds nana Mahesh Bhatt of the time when he had Pooja Bhatt: Rahul Bhatt

Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed a baby girl on November 6, and both the Kapoors and Bhatts are elated by the arrival of the new member. In an interview with Bombay Times, Mahesh Bhatt’s son Rahul Bhatt shared his happiness about becoming a ‘mama’ and said that Alia and the baby are hale and hearty.

Rahul also mentioned that Alia’s father is the proudest person right now and it reminds him of the time when he had his first daughter, Pooja Bhatt.

‘What has happened is that he has had three daughters (Pooja, Shaheen and Alia), so it is a déjà vu of sorts for him. He is comparing this to the time when his first daughter, Pooja was born,’ Rahul said.

When asked about the new parents, Rahul said that Alia is very responsible, and he thinks Ranbir will be an extremely hands-on dad.

For the unversed, Rahul and Pooja are Mahesh Bhatt’s children from his first marriage to Lorraine Bright aka Kiran Bhatt. The filmmaker later married actor Soni Razdan and they are parents to daughters, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen, who now share a close bond with Pooja and Rahul.

Alia announced the arrival of her ‘magical girl’ via a joint statement on Instagram.

‘And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! Love love love,’ the note read.
Alia Bhatt is yet to get discharged from the hospital.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ She also has ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ and her Hollywood debut ‘Heart Of Stone’ in the pipeline.
