Alia Bhatt reveals her 10-year plan, check out the 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' actor's response

Alia Bhatt has an interesting lineup that fans are eagerly awaiting.. While she plays a pivotal part in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, the actor will also be playing the titular character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Gangubai Kathiawadi.' Alia is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' in full swing.

While her career as an actor is impressive, the 'Gully Boy’ star recently stepped foot in the production space. Alia launched Eternal Sunshine Productions in 2021 and is all set for her first project ‘Darling’ which is said to be a dark comedy about a mother-daughter relationship, also starring Shefali Shah.

Talking about her future plans, Alia told Film Companion in an interview, “I realised why can’t I be a part of the creative production process. It is not about line producing or bringing the finance. It is about putting a project creatively, holding the director or the writer’s hand and maybe not always starring in the film. That’s something I want to do. If you ask me my next 10-year plan, it is in building my production house.”

Sharing her thoughts on turning a producer after being a successful actor, Alia said, “If I am being a producer, I am getting a percentage on the profit, it’s a great thing for me. For me, it’s not about the money, it’s actually about if I reached a certain point (after 10 years in the industry) where I think I am in a good position to support new talent. It’s not only about fueling my engine, I can now use the fuel and fuel other engines as well. At the end of the day, we all are contributing to cinema.”
