Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor join the parents' club: Sonam Kapoor & others send congratulatory messages

Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. Alia delivered the baby at HN Reliance Hospital, Girgaon in Mumbai.

The ‘Raazi’ actor took to Instagram to share the news with her fans. She shared a picture of a lion family and wrote, ‘And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!!’

Soon after she shared the post, many celebrities took to social media and congratulated the new parents. Madhuri Dixit wrote, ‘Warmest wishes and congratulations on the birth of your sweet little baby girl.’ Sonam Kapoor wrote, ‘Congratulations darling girl. Can’t wait to see your princess.’
Akshay Kumar wrote, ‘Congratulations !!! @aliaabhatt , Ranbir. No bigger joy in the world than to have a daughter.’ Kapil Sharma and Kriti Sanon are among others to extend their best wishes. Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor shared the same picture on Instagram, and wrote, ‘Blessings.’

Sharing the same post, Alia’s mother Soni Razdan wrote, ‘Oh happy day ! So much gratitude to life for this amazing wonderful blessing of a gift. Thank you all for your wishes of love. Our collective cup runneth over.’

Actor Anushka Sharma congratulated the new parents on Instagram story and wrote, ‘Hugest congratulations to the parents and lots of love and blessings to the baby girl.’

Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, Alia’s parents Mahesh Bhatt, Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt too arrived at the hospital to be with the couple.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt married in an intimate ceremony in April this year and announced their pregnancy in June.
