Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar and his wife Alicia were blessed with a baby girl on Saturday (Sept. 24). The filmmaker shared the news with his fans and followers through a heartfelt note on Instagram, and mentioned how they began this journey with love, which is beyond borders – colour and race.

He wrote, 'Alicia and I began our journey with love, love which is beyond borders - colour & Race , we are very fortunate that we found each other and got married, Now after almost after 2 years we are thankful to Almighty Allah for blessing us with most beautiful gift of our life. She came in our life on 24th September at midnight 12.25. Please welcome our bundle of Joy - Alija Zehra Zafar Ali Alicia Alija #Aliverse'.

As soon as he shared the post, wishes started to pour in for the couple. Actors Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Tiger Shroff, and Priyanka Chopra were among those who dropped a comment, congratulating the couple.

Ali Abbas Zafar and Alicia tied the knot in January 2021 in an intimate wedding ceremony.

On the work front, the filmmaker’s film 'Jogi', starring Diljit Dosanjh, recently released on OTT platform Netflix. His forthcoming projects include an action movie with Shahid Kapoor, and 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
