Akshay Kumar’s first look from 'Kannappa' out; actor to play Lord Krishna in Vishnu Manchu's film

After Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar is all set to foray into the Telugu film industry. The actor will be seen in a special appearance in Vishnu Manchu’s highly-ambitious period drama titled 'Kannappa'. The film’s release date has yet to be announced. Recently, on the actor's birthday, Vishnu teased the actor's first poster from the upcoming film, and by the looks of it, it appears Kumar will be essaying the role of Lord Krishna in the period drama.

Taking to his X account, Vishnu, who plays the lead role in the film, shared the look and also wished the actor on his birthday. He wrote, “Happy Birthday to the one and only Mr. Akshay Kumar! Best wishes on your special day!” In the poster, Akshay Kumar’s hand is visible, dressed as Lord Shiva’s hand. The poster also reads “Though lord Shiva reigns supreme power over all realms, he humbly surrenders to the devotion of his followers.”

On his birthday, Akshay Kumar also announced his new film, 'Bhooth Bangla'. The actor also shared his first look from the film. In the poster, the actor was seen drinking milk while a black cat sat on his shoulder. More details related to the film have yet to be shared. According to a Mid-day report, the film is set to start shooting by the end of this year and continue into the first half of 2025.
