‘Adipurush’ trailer out: Prabhas-Kriti Sanon starrer is a timeless tale of most epic battle ever fought

The trailer of Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, has been released. The film is an adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana. It shows how Ayodhya's king Rama travels to the island of Lanka with the aim to rescue his wife Sita, who has been abducted by Ravana. He accomplishes his mission with the help of Hanuman's army.

‘Adipurush’ is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made and has been in production for almost two years. The trailer has been praised by fans for being very different from its teaser. The makers improved upon the VFX after the teaser was criticised for ‘shoddy’ visual effects.

On Monday, the film’s trailer was screened for select fans in Hyderabad. The event was attended by Prabhas, Kriti and director Om Raut.

‘Adipurush’ will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13. The film is set to release in theatres on June 16.
