Actor Rakul Preet Singh's brother, Aman Preet Singh arrested in Hyderabad drugs case

Hyderabad police have arrested Aman Preet Singh, brother of actor Rakul Preet Singh, in connection with a significant drug case. The arrest was part of a joint operation involving the Narcotics Bureau and Rajendra Nagar SOT Police under the Cyberabad Police's jurisdiction.

During a press briefing on Monday, authorities disclosed that Aman Preet Singh was implicated in a drug seizure. The operation led to the arrest of five individuals suspected of drug trafficking.

Aman's name surfaced among the 13 individuals who tested positive for drug consumption. He tested positive for cocaine during a urine test conducted as part of the investigation.

Police clarified that Aman Preet Singh, would soon be presented before court. They refrained from commenting on his connections with the accused until further investigations.

Details about the case

In connection with the case, police seized 199 grams of cocaine, along with two passports, two motorcycles, and ten mobile phones. Police also highlighted the involvement of affluent individuals in Hyderabad who were identified as consumers of the seized drugs. Out of the 13 identified consumers, five were apprehended, all testing positive for cocaine.

Aman Preet Singh's arrest follows previous scrutiny faced by his sister, Rakul Preet Singh, in an unrelated money laundering investigation linked to a drugs case. The Enforcement Directorate had previously summoned Rakul Preet Singh multiple times to inquire about her alleged ties to the drug racket and suspicious financial transactions.
