How did they meet?

In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Sonam Kapoor revealed that her friends were trying to set her up with Anand’s best friend. So, one fine evening her friends 'conned' her into visiting a bar where she met Anand and his best friend who was tall like her, liked reading like her, and was a huge fan of Hindi movies. However, Sonam didn't find him interesting and ended up talking more with Anand and the rest is history. Not many might be aware that the actor hated the idea of marriage and didn't plan to date anybody.

First public appearance

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja made their first public appearance when Akshay Kumar threw a grand bash in honour of Will Smith at his home. This was the first time when Anand Ahuja caught the attention of the public. A picture of the pair from the get-together created a buzz across social media.

Opposites attract each other

During her interview with Filmfare, Sonam revealed that sometimes people believe if they have similar interests then they can be together. However, Anand is totally different from her, she added. Sonam continued that they ended up chatting for hours and met quite often than expected.

Wedding Day

After dating each other for more than two years, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja married in 2018 in a traditional Sikh ceremony. Their fairytale wedding was a lavish affair and was held at Sonam's aunt's bungalow in Mumbai. The couple looked absolutely stunning together in their wedding ensemble and took the internet by storm with their breathtaking pictures.

Welcoming the first baby

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on August 20, 2022. The couple shared the news of their baby's arrival on Instagram by sharing a post, which was accompanied by Bob Marley's song ‘Three Little Birds’. In their statement, Sonam

The couple had announced their pregnancy in March this year.
