2 decades after 'Dil Chahta Hai', Saif Ali Khan to team up with Farhan Akhtar for 'Fire'

There's no doubt Saif Ali Khan is a bankable star. The Nawaab of Pataudi has showed he can play a steady, dependable innings and his recent slate of films are a testimony to that.

In a recent interview with entertainment website Pinkvilla.com, Saif confirmed that he will work with Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment for a new film, titled 'Fire', wherein he will essay the role of a fireman.

This is very exciting news for fans, because it essentially means that Saif and Farhan Akhtar will be teaming up, two decades after 'Dil Chahta Hai'. They worked together in 2001 for the critically acclaimed film, which was also Farhan’s directorial debut.

Saif Ali Khan's latest film 'Bhoot Police', a horror comedy, along with Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam, Jacqueline Ferdandes is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar

Saif will soon share screen space with Rani Mukerji for heist comedy 'Bunty Aur Babli 2'. They were last seen together in the hit 2004 film 'Hum Tum'.

Saif is also committed to the Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil blockbuster, 'Vikram Vedha', along with Hrithik Roshan.
