Bollywood celebrities have also been lauding the Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial for the heartwarming portrayal of the story based on real-life events, which takes inspiration from the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. The latest to laud the film is Kareena Kapoor Khan. Previously, celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Deverakonda, and Alia Bhatt have hailed the movie.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has praised director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's, '12th Fail. In her review of the film, Bebo wrote, "Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Vikrant Massey, Medha Shankr, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar and the entire cast and crew, legends” (sic).

Responding to her, Vikrant wrote, "Bas, ab main retire ho sakta hoon!!! Thank you so much, ma'am! You've no idea what this means to me."
