Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ has sparked controversy yet again.

This time not only for its poor VFX but also for cringe-worthy dialogues that hurt religious sentiments.

Many people across the country have been protesting against the mythological drama.

In Lucknow, Bhartiya Kisan Union claimed that the movie makes a mockery of Sanatan Dharma and burnt effigies of director Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir.

They even filed a complaint demanding an FIR against the director, writer, and other team members.

Now, amid the ongoing controversy, Manoj has sought security from Mumbai Police.

Adipurush, based on Ramayana, stars a Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Sunny Singh as Shesh.

The film is being criticised for its language and constant comparisons are being done with Ramanand Sagar’s series.

Despite poor reviews, the mythological drama has entered the Rs 300 crore club globally.

The film was released in theatres on June 16 in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.

Taking to Instagram, actor Kriti Sanon shared a poster of the film that read, ‘Worldwide three day box-office gross 340 crore (gross box office collection) global box office Adipurush.’

Sharing the news, Kriti wrote, ‘Jai Shri Ram (Hail Lord Ram) #Adipurush.’
