Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of former union minister Sushma Swaraj is all set to contest from the New Delhi seat in the Lok Sabha elections as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.

Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj, will run for the New Delhi seat in the Lok Sabha elections as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate. She replaced Meenakshi Lekhi, the current Parliamentarian and Union Minister, in BJP's candidate list for the upcoming elections.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, and party workers, Bansuri Swaraj stated her commitment to re-electing Modi as Prime Minister. She highlighted BJP's slogan 'ab ki baar 400 paar' (this time, over 400 seats) as a goal for the party workers.

Bansuri Swaraj is also an advocate

Professionally, Bansuri Swaraj is an advocate at the Supreme Court of India with over 15 years of experience. She was enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 2007 and has handled various high-profile cases in different legal forums.

Bansuri's expertise includes disputes related to contracts, real estate, tax, international commercial arbitrations, and criminal trials. She has also served as the Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana while maintaining her private legal practice.

Bansuri Swaraj's education:

Bansuri Swaraj's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Warwick and a law degree from the BPP Law School in London. She obtained her Barrister at Law qualification from the Hon’ble Inn of Inner Temple, London, and holds a Master of Studies from the University of Oxford's St. Catherine’s College.

Before her candidacy, Bansuri Swaraj was appointed as the co-convenor of the legal cell of BJP in Delhi last year.
