Priyanka Gandhi Vs PM Modi: in Amethi, Congress leader invokes Covid vaccine fear, heart attacks

Campaigning in Amethi on May 10, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Covid-19 vaccine. Citing the recent reports of Covishield causing severe side-effects and pulling out of the vaccine by its manufacturer, Gandhi said that the Modi-led BJP received ₹52 crore donation from the company that made the vaccine in India.

"Did you all get Covid-19 vaccine? Do you remember whose picture was in the vaccine certificate? It was Modi's, wasn't it? He took ₹52 crore donation from that vaccine company. Today, it has come to light that the vaccine causes reactions in some people. Some percentage of people can suffer heart attack due to the vaccine. So many people just collapsed and died," said Gandhi.

"Today, it has emerged that the vaccine has been pulled out of the market. Only one company manufactured vaccines for the entire company. Modi took ₹52 crore donation from that company. He got donation from companies that were raided," she added.

Gandhi further alleged that companies were forced to make donations by carrying out raids against them.

"[Modi] got donation from companies that were raided. Raids were made, donation was taken and the raids stopped. Cases were filed, donations taken and the cases were closed. The cases were put in cold storage. And he says that he is honest and the rest are corrupt," said Gandhi.
