As polling for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway, ministers and leaders from across the parties are reaching polling booths to cast their votes.

Union Minister for External Affairs S. Jaishankar too, reached early at polling station in Delhi but was astonished to know his name did not feature in the voters' list, Lokmatt Times reported.

The polling station went into a tizzy and soon, the minister was informed about his name being on a different list. The report further said he was then directed to the designated polling station where he cast his vote.

The minister then cast his vote and was handed a certificate for being the first male voter at the polling booth.

In a post on X, Jaishankar urged voters to cast their vote. He wrote, " Cast my vote in New Delhi this morning. Urge all voting today to turnout in record numbers and vote in this sixth phase of the elections."
