In a recent report by Hero Group company, Hero Vired, it has been revealed that a substantial majority of working professionals are increasingly apprehensive about job redundancy attributed to the emergence of new and evolving technologies.

The report, which sourced insights from a wide-ranging survey encompassing 200,000 individuals including students, professionals, and academicians, shed light on the growing concerns within the workforce regarding job security amidst technological advancements.

The report delineated that an overwhelming 82% of working professionals expressed deep-seated worries about the potential of job redundancy due to the rapid evolution of technologies. This staggering revelation underscores the prevalent unease prevailing among employees about the transformative impact of these advancing technologies on job stability.

However, despite these prevalent concerns, the report indicated a proactive approach among 78% of working professionals who recognize the significance of upskilling. This inclination underscores an evolving consciousness among the workforce about the imperative need for continual learning and skill augmentation to remain pertinent in today's swiftly changing professional landscape.

Founder and CEO of Hero Vired, Akshay Munjal, emphasized the shifting focus of both professionals and companies towards sustainability, fitness, and mental health, asserting the burgeoning demand for job roles within these sectors.

Moreover, the report spotlighted that 39% of respondents firmly believe that proficiency in AI significantly influences career growth within their current organizations. Alarmingly, 43% of professionals expressed dissatisfaction with the dearth of adequate AI training provided by their employers, delineating a substantial chasm between perceived importance and the actual provisions for training in this pivotal technological domain.

Additionally, the report indicated that 43.5% of working professionals between the ages of 18 to 55, hailing from both metro and non-metro cities, voiced the need for upskilling every six months. An overwhelming 83% of respondents are convinced that upskilling, particularly in AI, will augment their job prospects in the future.
