Shares of Infosys tanked nearly 8% on Friday afternoon after the company reported a lower-than-expected 11% rise in net profit for the June quarter and slashed its FY24 growth outlook.

The stock tumbled 7.89 per cent to Rs 1,337.45 on the BSE while writing this. Not only thuis, the company's market capitalisation (mcap) fell by Rs 43,776.29 crore to Rs 5,57,287.83 crore in morning trade.

It was the biggest laggard among both Sensex and Nifty firms.

Amidst the share fall, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's wife Akshata Murty - who is one of the promoters of Infosys and daughter of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy net worth falls around ₹412 crore (3,89,57,096 x ₹105.80).

As per the shareholding pattern of Infosys for January to March 2023 quarter, Akshata Murty is shown holding 3,89,57,096 Infosys shares, which is 1.07 per cent of total paid up capital of the company.
