Elon Musk's reaction to Chandrayaan-3 mission cost sparks buzz on social media

Elon Musk's recent response to a a post on X (formerly twitter) comparing the budget between India's Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission and the Christopher Nolan film Interstellar, has triggered a wave of reactions across social media.

The tweet in question, shared by former journalist Cindy Pom via Newsthink's official handle, pointed out the intriguing fact that the cost for India's Chandrayaan-3 mission was just $75 million compared to the production cost of Interstellar which was $165 million.

Elon Musk responded to the post with a succinct yet significant response, "Good for India!" His message was accompanied by an emoji showcasing the Indian flag. The CEO of Tesla garnered more than 60,000 views for his comment, with the count steadily rising. The post also got 1,900 likes and spurred a multitude of user comments.


User sentiments ranged from appreciation to national pride. One user conveyed, "Thanks for the recognition, Musk bro," while another remarked, "It's heartening that India's accomplishments are gaining global attention." Many voiced the sentiment that India's space endeavors deserve greater recognition. A user even ventured into a playful prediction, "With your encouragement, Elon, who knows, India might just win the race to Mars!"
