Bottled soft drinks consumption surges in Indian households

The average Indian household's consumption of bottled soft drinks has significantly increased over the last two years, surpassing 50 percent annual penetration in FY24, according to the latest Kantar FMCG pulse report.

This trend is expected to continue rising with the intensifying summer. The report noted that the average household's consumption of bottled soft drinks has grown by 250 ml over the past two years.

Additionally, fabric softeners, once considered a premium laundry item, are now used in one out of every four households in the country.

The report also adds that despite inflation slowing to acceptable levels, its impact on consumers remains evident.
