Gujarat Giants kept their hopes of making it to WPL 2023 Eliminator well and truly alive as they avoided a scare to beat the Delhi Capitals by 11 runs on Thursday night.

Delhi's decision to bowl first proved right as Gujarat found it tough to score freely and lost opener Sophia Dunkley for just 4.

However, a half century each by Laura Wolvaardt and Ashleigh Gardner helped GG finish at 147/4.

Delhi's run chase never looked on track as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and found themselves 8 down for just 100.

Though their number 8 batter Arundhati Reddy took DC close to the target with a quick 25, DC lost remaining 2 wickets within 1 run and were bowled out for 136.

Gujarat registered their 2nd win in 6 games with both those victories coming at the Brabourne stadium.
