Tension within anti-Russia NATO after Soviet drone crashes in Zagreb? Croatia slams 'no alarm' | Ukraine

Amid the Ukraine-Russia, differences seem to have erupted between NATO members after a drone crashed in the Croatian capital of Zagreb. NATO is a military alliance seen as a counterweight to Russia.

The drone which crashed is believed to be of Soviet origin, and both Russia and Ukraine have denied that they were operating it. Croatian officials reportedly slammed how the drone could have passed the airspace of several NATO members before crashing in Zagreb, and alarm was not raised.

The crash on March 10 reportedly damaged around 40 parked cars, but no one was injured.

Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said, "As we already reported, it went by Ukrainian airspace through Romanian and Hungarian airspace before entering Croatia. It was flying above Croatia around seven minutes before crashing here, where we have 4,500 students, a restaurant, nightclub, another restaurant, bridge on Sava River. Residential buildings are 200 meters from us."

Meanwhile, the Ukraine-Russia war entered its 18th day on March 13. When the war started, Ukraine sought NATO's help to fight off the Russian invasion, but Western powers have claimed that if they get involved, it could lead to World War 3.
