Suicide Blast at Peshawar Paramilitary HQ Kills Three

Peshawar, November 24 (PTI) – A suicide attack at the headquarters of a paramilitary force in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Monday resulted in the deaths of at least three security personnel and injuries to two others. According to reports, the assault took place at the Frontier Constabulary (FC) headquarters, as reported by Dawn. Three terrorists were also killed during the attack, which occurred early in the morning. The assailants attempted to infiltrate the building after one of them detonated an explosive device at the gate, but they were neutralized in an exchange of gunfire, the report stated. Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting a clearance operation. Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Mian Saeed Ahmad confirmed to Dawn that the headquarters was under attack, and the area was being secured. Those injured in the attack are being transported to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) in Peshawar. The paramilitary force, originally known as the Frontier Constabulary, was renamed by the government in July. Its headquarters is strategically located in a densely populated area, near a military cantonment, according to the report.
