On June 24, the Supreme Court in US overturned its 50-year-old Roe v Wade judgement. This decision has taken away the constitutional right to abortion of millions of women in the country. It has also paved the way for states to create their own legislations to ban the procedure. 
Women in states where abortion will be completely banned or restricted will be forced to cross states borders to areas in the country where abortion is still legal. 
There are a number of ways through which the law will be able to persecute people going for abortions. Individuals who will aid women to get abortions will also come under the scanner, reports say. 
Addressing a virtual meet with Democratic state governors, Biden said that he believed some US states would attempt to arrest women who cross states for availing abortion. 
"I don't think people believe that's going to happen. But it's going to happen," he said.
The president also ensured access to medications that aid in abortions in states where they are prohibited. 
But the government's intervention will lead to more legal problems that might even get the Supreme Cout involved. Chandran’s companies — which included Free Vi Lab, Studio Vi Inc., ViDelivery Inc, ViMarket Inc, and Skalex USA Inc, among others — developed virtual-world technologies, including their own cryptocurrency, for use in the companies’ own metaverse.
The indictment alleges that Chandran caused other individuals to make various materially false and misleading representations to investors, including that investors in his companies would soon receive extremely high returns when one or more of those companies was purchased by a group of wealthy buyers.
In fact, according to the indictment, there was no such buyer group that was about to purchase the companies for the claimed returns; a substantial portion of the funds was misappropriated for other business ventures and the personal benefit of Chandran and others, including the purchase of luxury cars and real estate; and there were no prominent billionaires involved in purchasing Chandran’s companies.
Chandran is charged with three counts of wire fraud and two counts of engaging in monetary transactions in the criminally derived property.
If convicted, Chandran faces up to 20 years in prison for each of the wire fraud counts and up to 10 years in prison for each count of engaging in unlawful monetary transactions.
The indictment also alleges that 100 different assets — bank accounts, real estate, and luxury vehicles, including 39 Tesla vehicles — are subject to forfeiture as proceeds of the fraud.

He made the comments upon arriving in the city for a two-day visit to mark the 25th anniversary of the British handover and after a two-year transformation bringing the city more tightly under Communist Party control.
Under his leadership, China has reshaped Hong Kong in the past two years, cracking down on protest and freedom of speech and introducing a more patriotic curriculum in schools.
The changes have all but eliminated opposition voices and driven many to leave.
Hong Kong and nearby Macao are special administrative regions that are governed separately from the rest of China, known as the Chinese mainland.
It is Xi&rsquo;s first trip outside of mainland China in nearly 2 &frac12; years.

Mercer, a global consulting firm has released its annual list of the world's most expensive cities to live in, and once again  known for its iconic skyscrapers and beautiful skyline view, Hong Kong is the world’s most expensive place for employees sent abroad to work.  
Four Switzerland cities Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern ranked second to fifth place respectively in Mercer’s Cost of Living Survey 2022.  Apart from this, Israel’s Tel Aviv bagged the 6th place as the priciest place in the Middle East while New York City bagged the seventh spot. 
Asian cities that made it to the top 10 were Singapore, Tokyo, and Beijing. 
Coming to home, at number 127, Mumbai is the most expensive city in India followed by New Delhi at number 155.
At the other end of the table, the cheapest places for expats to live were Turkey’s Ankara, Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan and Dushanbe in Tajikistan.

The Bureau of Meteorology says there could be up to 120 millimetres of rain in Sydney on Monday.
Emergency services had made 116 flood rescues in recent days, 83 of them since 9 p.m. Sunday, the Premier said. Hundreds more requests for help were made by Monday morning.

Danish police said Sunday that several people were shot at a Copenhagen shopping mall, one of the largest in Scandinavia.
Copenhagen police said that one person has been arrested in connection with the shooting at the Field’s shopping mall, which is close to the city's airport.
Police tweeted that “several people have been hit,” but gave no other details.
Images from the scene showed people running out of the mall, and Denmark’s TV2 broadcaster posted a photo of a man being put on a stretcher.
Witnesses said people were crying and hid in shops.
A huge presence of heavily-armed police officers was on hand, with several fire department vehicles also parked outside the mall.
The shopping center is on the outskirts of Copenhagen just across from a subway line that connects the city center with the international airport.
A major highway also runs adjacent to Fields, which opened in 2004.

A gunman opened fire inside a busy shopping mall in the Danish capital on Sunday, killing several people and wounding several others.
A 22-year-old Danish man was arrested, Copenhagen police said, adding there was no indication that anyone else was involved in the attack, though they were still investigating.
Gun violence is relatively rare in Denmark and police said it was too early to speculate on the motive for the shooting.

The shooting happened in the late afternoon at Field&rsquo;s, one of the biggest shopping malls in Scandinavia, located on the outskirts of the Danish capital.
When the shots rang out, some people hid in shops while others fled in a panicked stampede, witnesses said.
&ldquo;It is pure terror. This is awful," said Hans Christian Stoltz, a 53-year-old IT consultant.
Stoltz was bringing his daughters to see former One Direction band member Harry Styles perform at a concert scheduled for Sunday night near the mall.
Organisers called off the concert, which had been scheduled at the nearby Royal Arena, by order of police.
On Snapchat, Styles wrote: "My team and I pray for everyone involved in the Copenhagen shopping mall shooting. I am shocked. Love H.&rdquo;

Police gave no specific casualty count beyond saying several people were dead and several wounded.
They described the suspect was an &ldquo;ethnic Dane&rdquo;, a phrase typically used to mean someone is white.
