Joe Biden kept classified documents at private office after leaving US Vice Presidency? DOJ review on

Potentially classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, where Biden kept an office after leaving the Vice Presidency in 2017.

Months after an investigation was launched against former US President Donald Trump on whether he kept classified documents at his Florida resort after demitting office, current President Joe Biden may be facing a similar case.

Potentially classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, where Biden kept an office after leaving the Vice Presidency in 2017.
Biden's personal attorneys found the papers in a "locked closet" in November 2022, and informed the White House.

The Justice Department is conducting a review of the documents, the White House said on 9 January 2023.

“Since that discovery, the President's personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justice in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives,” special counsel to the President, Richard Sauber said.
