Britain: Police clears King Charles' charity of cash-for-honor allegations

Britain’s Metropolitan Police said King Charles’ charity will no longer be investigated in the cash-for-honour case.

The 18-month investigation cleared the monarch of all possible wrongdoing and did not result in any arrests.

The probe was initiated after British media alleged people associated with The Prince's Trust organisation were handing out British honours and citizenships in exchange for money.

“After careful consideration of the information received as a result of the investigation to date, the Met has concluded that no further action will be taken in this matter,” DW News reported.

Law enforcement officials, however, clarified that if any new information was uncovered then Metropolitan Police’s Special Enquiry Team would jump into action.

“Nobody has been arrested or charged during the course of this investigation,” the statement added.
