The Afghan government will continue to firmly abide by the one-China principle and oppose interference in China's internal affairs, he said.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party, welcomed Muttaqi's visit to China on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Afghanistan.

Asked if the ceasefire is holding and if it is the 'end of the matter' for India, Singh responded by saying that "the ceasefire is still holding on but we have made it very clear that Operation Sindoor is paused, it's not yet over".
"The fight against terrorism will continue. We have set a new normal and the new normal is that we will follow an offensive strategy. Wherever terrorists are, we have to kill those terrorists and we have to destroy their infrastructure. So it is still not over but as we speak the ceasefire is still intact", he asserted.
Describing India's attack on Nur Khan base in the early morning of May 10 as a game changer, Singh said that it created panic in Pakistan and their DGMO reached out to their Indian counterpart seeking a ceasefire.
On the question of suspension of the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) that Pakistan has described as "an act of war", the Indian envoy said that the two key words that guided the treaty were never honoured and India on the contrary was always battling against terror attacks emanating from Pakistan.
"IWT was signed in 1960 and the preamble of the treaty includes two key words - goodwill and friendship....Over the past so many years what we have seen (is that) we were allowing water to flow and what was Pakistan doing - they were allowing terror (attacks) to come on the Indian side", Singh noted.
"There was a lot of frustration among people that this cannot go on like this. Our Prime Minister said that blood and water cannot flow together and that is the reason that we decided to put this IWT in abeyance", he added.
"Terror must stop", the Indian ambassador asserted for a treaty like this to be operational and Pakistan must stop cross-border terrorism.
"While IWT is in abeyance, another IWT is operational - Operation Sindoor is India&rsquo;s War Against Terrorism", he said.
Citing a long list of terror attacks in India that originated from Pakistan, Singh said that the "root cause are these two groups &mdash; Jaish-e-Muhammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba".
The leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba which was behind the Mumbai attacks in which several Jews were also killed, continue to roam free, he noted.
"They need to do a very simple thing - when the preamble includes goodwill and friendship, they just need to hand over these terrorists to us", the envoy stressed.
Pointing out that the United States recently extradited Tahawwur Hussain Rana, who was involved in the Mumbai attack, the diplomat who has also served in Pakistan in the past said that Islamabad could also do the same.
"When the US can hand over these culprits, why can't Pakistan hand over? They have to simply hand over Hafeez Saeed, Lakhvi, Sajid Mir and things will be over", he emphasised.
With reference to Pakistan's offer to investigate the Pahalgam attack, Singh dismissed it, describing it as a deflection strategy.
&ldquo;What has happened to the Mumbai attack? What has happened to the Pathankot air base attack? What has happened to the Pulwama attack,&rdquo; he questioned.
&ldquo;We have given them dossiers after dossiers &mdash; we have given them technical inputs. America has shared with them evidence. Everything is there but what have they done&rdquo;, he asked.
&ldquo;Lakhvi, who was the main planner of the Mumbai attack, is still roaming freely. Hafiz Saeed, the head of Lashkar-e-Taiba, planner and executioner of the Mumbai attack is roaming freely. So we can't believe them,&rdquo; Singh said.
Contending that terrorism is a global menace, the Indian envoy called for greater cooperation among the countries faced with the challenge.
"At an international level all those countries including India, Israel and many other countries that face the brunt of terrorism, we need to expand our diplomatic reach, we need to cooperate, we need to form a coalition against terrorism and most importantly against the supporters of these terrorist groups" he proposed.
He concluded by saying that "our prime minister has made it very clear &mdash; very clear &mdash; that we have zero tolerance on terrorism. We are not going to accept this cross-border terrorism".&nbsp;

Trump's comments came nearly two weeks after Cook said his company made quarterly records in several countries, including India.
Apple will source the majority of the iPhones sold in the US from India in the June quarter, while China will produce the vast majority of the devices for other markets amid uncertainty over tax tariffs, Cook said earlier this month.
According to an analysis by S&amp;P Global, Apple's iPhone sales in the US were 75.9 million units in 2024, with exports in March from India equivalent to 3.1 million units.

Last month, Trump had said negotiations with India over a bilateral trade deal are &ldquo;coming along great&rdquo; and he thinks &ldquo;we&rsquo;ll have a deal with India&rdquo;.
Trump announced sweeping reciprocal tariffs on several countries, including India and China, on April 2. However, on April 9, he announced a 90-day suspension of these tariffs until July 9 this year, except for those on China and Hong Kong, as about 75 countries approached America for trade deals.&nbsp;

Donald Trump's administration on Thursday revoked Harvard's ability to enroll foreign nationals -- more than a quarter of the student body -- in a dramatic escalation of the US president's fight against the prestigious university.
The school in Cambridge, Massachusetts quickly slammed the move as "unlawful" and said it would hurt both the campus and the country, while one student said the community was "panicking."
Trump is furious at Harvard -- which has produced 162 Nobel prize winners -- for rejecting his demand that it submit to oversight on admissions and hiring over his claims that it is a hotbed of anti-Semitism and "woke" liberal ideology.
The loss of such a large proportion of the student body could prove to be a huge financial blow to Harvard, which charges tens of thousands of dollars a year in tuition.
"Effective immediately, Harvard University's Student and Exchange Visitor (SEVIS) Program certification is revoked," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem wrote in a letter to the Ivy League institution, referring to the main system by which foreign students are permitted to study in the United States.
Harvard, which has sued the government over a separate raft of punitive measures, quickly fired back, calling the move "unlawful."
"We are fully committed to maintaining Harvard's ability to host our international students and scholars," it said in a statement, adding that it was working to offer students guidance and support.
"This retaliatory action threatens serious harm to the Harvard community and our country, and undermines Harvard's academic and research mission."
Karl Molden, an international student from Austria, said he had applied to study at Oxford in Britain because he feared such measures.
"It's scary and it's saddening," the 21-year-old government and classics student told AFP.
"I love Harvard, and getting into the school has been the greatest privilege of my life.
"It's definitely going to change the perception of... students who (might) consider studying there -- the US is getting less of an attractive spot for higher education."
Leaders of the Harvard chapter of the American Association of University Professors called the move "the latest in a string of nakedly authoritarian and retaliatory moves against America's oldest institution of higher education."
"The Trump administration is unlawfully seeking to destroy higher education in the United States. It now demands that we sacrifice our international students in the process. Universities cannot acquiesce to such extortion," it said.

Last month, Trump threatened to stop Harvard from enrolling foreign students if it did not agree to government demands that would put the private institution under outside political supervision.
"As I explained to you in my April letter, it is a privilege to enroll foreign students," Noem wrote.
"All universities must comply with Department of Homeland Security requirements, including reporting requirements under the Student and Exchange Visitor Program regulations, to maintain this privilege," she said.
"As a result of your refusal to comply with multiple requests to provide the Department of Homeland Security pertinent information while perpetuating an unsafe campus environment that is hostile to Jewish students, promotes pro-Hamas sympathies, and employs racist 'diversity, equity, and inclusion' policies, you have lost this privilege."
More than 27 percent of Harvard's enrollment was made up of foreign students in the 2024-25 academic year, according to university data.
Fourth-year US student Alice Goyer told AFP "no one knows" what the development would mean for international students already enrolled.
"We just got the news, so I've been getting texts from a lot of international friends, and I think everyone's just -- no one knows," she said.
"Everyone's panicking a bit."
On whether students would willingly transfer to other institutions, as suggested by Noem in the letter, Goyer said, "I doubt people would do that."
"I would hope maybe there's going to be a legal battle that'll take place."

The two sides reached an understanding on cessation of hostilities on May 10 after four days of confrontations.
On Sunday, the Indian Army said there is "no expiry date" to the understanding reached between Indian and Pakistani DGMOs on cessation of hostilities.
In his media interaction, Dar claimed that Pakistan successfully countered the Indian narrative and offered an international investigation into the Pahalgam incident, which India declined, Radio Pakistan reported.
Dar termed the Indian defence minister's recent statement as "unfortunate and regrettable", saying that Pakistan desires peace.
&ldquo;However, we will always defend our sovereignty with full might whenever challenged,&rdquo; he said.
He claimed that Pakistan showed "maximum restraint" and is not making any escalatory move.
Responding to a question, Dar said the venue of dialogue between Pakistan and India would be decided with the consensus.
Commenting on the Khuzdar attack, which claimed the lives of children, he said that the perpetrators behind the attack are being traced and will be brought to justice.
On his three-day trip to China, Dar said he paid a special visit to Beijing at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. He termed the visit as "highly successful".
&ldquo;I held important meetings with Chinese delegations on Tuesday. I attended a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China and Afghanistan on Wednesday. In the trilateral meeting, we discussed Afghan refugees, the regional situation and trade,&rdquo; he said.
He said Pakistan achieved significant progress on diplomatic, strategic and economic fronts during the engagements in Beijing.
Talking about the trilateral meeting involving Pakistan, China and Afghanistan, he said that the three countries agreed to uproot terrorism. &nbsp;"We agreed to eradicate terrorism and that with both China and Afghanistan that no terrorist organization, whether TTP, BLA or others, would be allowed to use any other country's soil against another," he said.
Dar also said the three countries agreed to extend the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to Afghanistan.
&ldquo;We have decided to expand CPEC, which is a part of the Belt and Road Initiative, to Afghanistan,&rdquo; he said, adding that China also agreed to construct a highway from Peshawar to Kabul, which will boost the overall performance of Gwadar Port.
Dar said China had expressed its intent to finance the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Railway Project, which is a transformative step for regional connectivity.

&ldquo;The temple is more than a century old, but these land grabbers have occupied and started illegal construction on the land surrounding the temple and obstructed the roads/entrances which lead to the Shiv Mandir,&rdquo; said Shiva Kachhi, who heads the Darawar Ittehad Pakistan. The organisation represents the Hindu community in Pakistan.
Kachhi said a committee managed the Shiv Mandir and about four acres of land around the temple in the Musa Khatian village near Tando Jam, a town about 185 kilometres from Karachi, before land grabbers illegally occupied it.
The temple was last year renovated by a team of the Sindh Heritage Department owing to its historical significance, Kachhi said.
A cremation site for Hindus is also close to the temple where an annual religious ceremony is held, he said.
He said that Hindu community members in the area recite Bhajans at the temple every Monday.
&ldquo;The powerful land mafia has occupied many swathes of land surrounding the temple and has already started construction around it.&rdquo; Kachhi, who carries out welfare and legal aid work for the minority Hindu community in Sindh, appealed to the Pakistani government to stop the illegal construction around the temple.

The US President suggested that NBC and Brian Roberts, its parent company's CEO and chairperson, should be investigated for their operations, branding the network a "disgrace".

He defended the Qatari gift, adding, "But for you to go on to a subject about a jet that was given to the United States Air Force, which is a very nice thing. They also gave USD 5.1 trillion worth of investments in addition to the jet."
As per CNN, citing a Defence Department spokesperson, US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth had accepted a Boeing 747 from Qatar that, after undergoing extensive modifications for security and mission readiness, is expected to be used by President Trump.
Earlier, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed the acceptance of the aircraft, stating that the transfer complies with all US laws and regulations and noted that the Defence Department will ensure the aircraft is properly equipped to serve in a presidential transport role, CNN reported.
Sharing a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump earlier stated that the jet was "NOT TO ME!" but "a gift from a nation."
"The Boeing 747 is being given to the United States Air Force/Department of Defence, NOT TO ME! It is a gift from a nation, Qatar, that we have successfully defended for many years. It will be used by our Government as a temporary Air Force One, until such time as our new Boeings, which are very late on delivery, arrive," Trump stated.
According to The Hill, the value of the plane is estimated at USD 400 million, which Qatar's royal family had offered as a gift to the United States.
