Established in 2020, Zoff is an Indian brand dedicated to crafting high-quality spices and pantry essentials. They meticulously source ingredients from different regions across India to curate authentic spice blends and whole spices that enhance culinary experiences. HOW ZOFF FOODS ENSURES PRODUCT QUALITY 
Talking about food quality, Agrawal highlighted the company's commitment to ensuring product quality through innovative practices. "Our focus area has been spice mixing technology," Agrawal emphasized. "We utilize 'Cool Grind' technology for grinding spices, which preserves their flavor and aroma effectively." He further elaborated, "To enhance convenience for our customers, we package our spices in zip-lock pouches, ensuring freshness and ease of use."
ZOFF FOODS&rsquo; BIGGEST CHALLENGES When asked about the challenges, Agrawal said we operate in a crowded spice segment. "Initially, we focused on e-commerce as our primary sales channel." he added.&nbsp;
He also said, "The spice segment exhibits high brand loyalty, posing a challenge in attracting repeat customers."
"One of our key challenges was encouraging consumers to try our products initially," Agrawal emphasized. "Despite these hurdles, we've successfully reached one million consumers within six years."
He acknowledged, "Securing shelf space and convincing retailers for offline sales remains a persistent challenge."

The pain point led to the inception of Recordent, aiming to alleviate these financial strains.

Recordent offers an end-to-end software solution that automates the entire receivable cycle. From providing credit and following up on payments to issuing legal notices if payments are overdue, Recordent leverages technology and data analytics to streamline these processes. "Our platform automates everything, even sending legal notices with just a few clicks," Patro highlighted.
Since its pilot launch in 2020, Recordent has grown significantly. "We now have about 70,000 businesses on our platform, including 11,000 sellers and 60,000 buyers," shared Patro. The platform's primary users span sectors such as construction, food and beverages, and textiles.
Looking ahead, Patro envisions Recordent transforming the payment landscape in India by instilling accountability and timely payments. "We aim to support 100,000 businesses in the next five years and five lakh SMEs in ten years," he stated. However, challenges remain, particularly in convincing SMEs to adopt and implement new technologies. "There's a significant bottleneck due to the limited bandwidth and resources within SMEs," Patro acknowledged.
<h3>Financial Growth</h3>
Recordent has garnered substantial financial backing, with approximately ₹15 crore invested, including contributions from IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and various family offices. Currently, Recordent is pursuing additional funding rounds to further scale its operations.

NatureFit has quickly gained traction, boasting over 10,000 doctors and 100 hospitals across India, alongside 5000+ products from 100+ brands in Ayurveda and natural wellness. The app also serves over 200,000 users and collaborates with more than 100 corporates, offering wellness programmes and health webinars.
<h3>NatureFit's verification process</h3>
A critical aspect of NatureFit's credibility lies in its rigorous verification process for practitioners and products. "We ensure all our doctors have the necessary certifications and experience," explained Bhatia. "Similarly, our products come from established brands that adhere to strict quality standards. We want users to trust that they are receiving genuine and effective AYUSH treatments."
Looking ahead, Bhatia envisions expanding NatureFit's reach both in India and internationally. "There's a growing demand for AYUSH treatments abroad," she noted. "We aim to make these therapies accessible globally through online consultations and product orders. Additionally, we plan to facilitate medical tourism to India for in-depth treatments at our partner hospitals and retreats."
<h3>Scale of business</h3>
Financially, NatureFit has seen steady growth, with annual revenues increasing from Rs 1.2 crore in its first year to Rs 3.5 crore in the second. The startup is preparing for its first major fundraising round within the next six months to fuel further expansion and strategic partnerships.
Despite the promising growth, Bhatia acknowledges challenges, particularly in raising awareness and building trust in AYUSH treatments. "Our goal is to become the go-to brand for AYUSH healthcare," she said. "We also aim to leverage recent policy changes that now allow health insurance to cover AYUSH treatments, making them more accessible and affordable."
In closing, Bhatia emphasized NatureFit's mission: "We want to promote simple lifestyle changes that can prevent chronic diseases. By integrating AYUSH treatments into mainstream healthcare, we hope to reduce the reliance on medications and surgeries, ultimately improving overall well-being."

India experienced a decrease in unicorn creation for the first time since 2017, as per the latest Hurun Global Unicorn Index. In 2023, India had 67 unicorns, one less than the previous year's count of 68.
The United States leads the index with 703 unicorns, followed by China with 340. The United Kingdom and the European Union secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The decline in India's unicorn creation is attributed primarily to a lack of investment in startups, despite the recent surge in stock market performance.
&ldquo;India&rsquo;s start-up ecosystem has slowed, with the number of unicorns down for the first time since the launch of Hurun list,&rdquo; the report noted. &nbsp;&nbsp;
As per Business Today, Anas Rahman Junaid, Founder and Chief Researcher at Hurun India, said: "The slowdown is primarily fuelled by lack of investment into start-ups despite the recent stock market record highs."&nbsp;
He also noted that as per the findings of the report Indian founders are establishing more unicorns abroad than at home, with a majority in the United States.

The first, Interface Ventures, focuses on debt advisory services, boasting a remarkable ₹3,300 crore worth of sanctions in the past 22 months. He further added that this part of the business specialises in structured credit for small corporates and engages in both active and passive investing. Second, Internovo Ventures, a joint venture with NovoStack, oversees three fintech stacks. ''These include Indirow, a loan origination and distribution platform; Indibook, designed for routine record-keeping tasks; and Indivest, a financial learning and investing platform'' he added. Financially, the company believes it is poised for substantial growth, and it also plans to raise funds upwards of Rs 10 crores to fuel its expansion endeavors.
"We don't like to grow wide, we like to grow deep and we like to grow sustainably; profitability is always our biggest, I guess, priority on the table", says Parth Soni.
