<p>Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya have addressed controversial comments made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha regarding their divorce.</p>
<p>The minister claimed their separation was linked to politician KT Rama Rao.</p>
<p>Both Samantha and Chaitanya took to social media to deny the allegations, urging Surekha to keep their names out of political disputes.</p>
<p>As quoted by Deccan Herald, Surekha said, &lsquo;KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce.&rsquo;</p>
<p>She also claimed, &lsquo;It is KT Rama Rao because of whom Samantha&rsquo;s divorce happened. He was a minister at that time and used to tap the phones of the actresses and then find their weaknesses to blackmail them. He used to make them drug addicts and then do this. Everyone knows this, Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, his family, everybody is aware that such a thing happened.&rsquo;</p>
<p>Konda Surekha had previously made similar allegations about KT Rama Rao in April. For those comments, the Election Commission had reprimanded her with a warning.</p>

<p>Naga Chaitanya described his divorce from Samantha as one of the &lsquo;most painful and unfortunate decisions&rsquo; of his life. He called Konda Surekha's claims &lsquo;false,&rsquo; and labeled them &lsquo;absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.&rsquo;</p>
<p>His note read, &lsquo;The decision of divorce is easily one of the most painful and unfortunate life decisions one has to make. After a lot of thought, a mutual decision was made by me and my former spouse to part ways. It was a decision made in peace, owing to our different life goals and in the interest of moving forward with respect and dignity as two mature adults. However, there have been various baseless and completely ridiculous gossips on the matter so far. I have remained silent all this while out of deep respect for my earlier spouse as well as my family. Today, the claim made by Minister Konda surekha garu is not only false, it is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Women deserve to be supported and respected. Taking advantage and exploiting the personal life decisions of celebrities for the sake of media headlines is shameful.&rsquo;</p>
<p>Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna Akkineni, also took to X to condemn Konda Surekha's remarks. He was supported by his wife, Amala Akkineni, and son, Akhil, in speaking out against the comments.</p>
<p>Several celebrities, including Jr NTR and Nani, have also voiced their disapproval of Konda Surekha&rsquo;s comments on social media.</p>
<p>Jr NTR took to his X account and wrote, &lsquo;Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy. It&rsquo;s disheartening to see baseless statements thrown around carelessly, especially about the film industry.&rsquo;</p>
<p>After receiving flak from politicians and actors, Konda Surekha has retracted a recent controversial statement.</p>

<p>In a long statement, Samantha wrote, &lsquo;Over the last couple of years, I've had to take many different types of medicines. I've tried everything I was strongly advised to take. As advised by highly qualified professionals and after doing as much self-research as is possible for a lay person like me.&rsquo;</p>
<p>&lsquo;Many of these treatments were also very very expensive. I would always keep thinking about how fortunate I am that I could afford it and about all those who cannot. And for the longest time, conventional treatments weren't making me better. There's a good chance it was just me and am sure they will work very well for others,&rsquo; she continued.</p>
<p>&lsquo;These two factors led me to also read up on alternate therapies and treatments. And after trial and error, I found treatments that worked wonderfully for me. Treatments that also cost a fraction of what I was spending on conventional healthcare,&rsquo; Samantha said.</p>
<p>She added, &lsquo;I am not naive enough to go about strongly advocating a treatment. I merely suggested with good intention because of all that I have faced and learnt in the last couple of years. Especially that treatments can be financially draining and many may not be able to afford them. End of the day, we all depend on educated doctors to guide us. This treatment was suggested to me by a highly qualified doctor who is an MD, who has served DRDO for 25 years. He, after all his education in conventional medicine, chose to advocate an alternate therapy.&rsquo;</p>
<p>&lsquo;A certain gentleman has attacked my post and my intentions with rather strong words. Said gentleman is a Doctor too. I have no doubt that he knows more than I do. And I am quite sure his intentions were noble. It would have been kind and compassionate of him had he not been so provocative with his words. Especially the bit where he suggests I should be thrown in prison. Never mind. I suppose it goes with the territory of being a celebrity. I posted as someone who needs medical treatments and not as a celebrity. And I certainly am not making any money from the post nor endorsing anyone. I was merely suggesting a treatment as an option after undergoing it myself, for others who may be looking for options because conventional medicine isn't working for them. Especially more affordable options,&rsquo; she stated.</p>
<p>Samantha concluded her post, saying it would have been nice had the gentleman invited her doctor for a discussion, rather than slamming her. The actor said she will be more careful in the future as he intentions are only to help others.</p>

<p>Recalling her struggles while shooting for the upcoming show, Samantha mentioned that she underwent many difficulties as she was also diagnosed with myositis. She said, &ldquo;I had to finish Kushi, and I had to shoot for Citadel, which is extremely physical. There&rsquo;s a lot of action involved. So it was very strenuous.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>
<p>The actor added that she would have spasms, or worse, pass out during the shoot, and her co-host, Alkesh, would be called for help. &ldquo;Many, many calls were made to you (Alkesh) in the middle of the shoot&mdash;she&rsquo;s having a spasm, she&rsquo;s cramping. I passed out, and I had a concussion,&rdquo; she added. To this, Akhilesh replied, "And you had a concussion, and the person who was training you there was not very helpful in relaying the information. Oh, God, those were crazy times."&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Samantha on Citadel&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>Speaking of being a part of the series, Samantha said, &ldquo;I never would have imagined that I would take action. But today, for me, being at this event is already such a victory because, at the last moment, I didn&rsquo;t really think I could do it. I didn&rsquo;t think I would be a part of Citadel. I&rsquo;m extremely grateful to Raj, DK, Sita, and Amazon for really coming to my rescue. I just had to prep physically. I am just so incredibly proud already that this is the way it is and this is the way it looks. I can&rsquo;t believe&mdash;this is how it looks.&rdquo; Karan Johar then said, &ldquo;Both you and Varun have literally owned it.&rdquo;</p>

"The stress of work, coupled with the condition, is not the easiest thing to handle. I&rsquo;m really glad that I gave myself time to recover; I had been working for 13 years straight," she said.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>'I was able to heal'&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The actor revealed that she was able to heal after suffering her share of self-loathing and self-confidence at the same time. Explaining that she wanted to grow as a person, Sam said that she finally decided to go on a journey of self-exploration while learning to let go of her insecurities and self-loathing.</p>

With that growth came a deeper understanding of my insecurities and self-loathing. I was able to heal by addressing them &ndash; not by trying to fix them from the outside, but by fixing the inner trauma that needed more healing than any external quick fix," the 'Shaakunthalam' actor added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently opened up about how she loves flowers but needs to be careful around them.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Those mixed feelings when you love these pretty things but are scared AF because the last time, they sent you to the emergency room. Like who the hell is allergic to flowers?! Tsk,&rdquo; she complained.</p>
<p>Samantha, like many other people, suffers from pollen allergies. According to experts, symptoms include sneezing, itching and rashes. It is estimated that 10-20% of the global population suffers from some form of allergic rhinitis, or hay fever.</p>
<p><strong>Pollen allergies: What are they?</strong></p>
<p>Biologically, an allergy is defined as a hypersensitivity reaction.</p>
<p>When a person inhales small particulate matter, such as pollen, it can quite often be misrecognized by the body as a harmful pathogen, causing an unnecessary and elevated immune reaction, referred to as hypersensitivity or an allergy. More specifically, a pollen allergy is a type I hypersensitivity reaction. Immune cells in the body recognize foreign particles, such as those from viruses and bacteria, via a protein expressed by these intruders, called an antigen. People with pollen allergies are genetically predisposed to inappropriate immune responses to pollen, by the production of a substance called IgE antibodies, resulting in many of the uncomfortable symptoms of allergies, such as those Samantha has to endure, if she gets too close to flowers.</p>
<p><strong>What is pollen?</strong></p>
<p>Pollen is a fine powder generated by the majority of flowering and seed-producing plants to facilitate sexual reproduction. They can also be transported by animals such as bees and birds, often called &ldquo;pollinators&rdquo;.</p>
<p>According to Dr. Somnath Gupta of Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad, not only are pollen allergies extremely common they also vary a lot between people, due to the genetic diversity inherent in plants.</p>
<p><strong>How to treat pollen allergies</strong></p>
<p>Nebulizers and bronchodilators can be used to treat wheezing symptoms. Antihistamines and other antiallergic medicines can provide relief for mild symptoms. For more extreme symptoms, a visit to the emergency room, followed by steroid or epinephrine injections, may become necessary.</p>

<p>Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who took a break from acting after being diagnosed with the autoimmune condition myosotis, is expected to resume work in 2024.</p>
<p>A source told Hindustan Times that the actor is feeling a bit rejuvenated and is planning to channel all that energy into her work.</p>
<p>&lsquo;She is planning to start acting and be back on set early next year. In fact, she is looking forward to it. It is expected that she will be back at work when Citadel promotions start. She might also start a new project, which she is backing&rsquo;, said the source.</p>
<p>Samantha underwent treatment for the autoimmune condition, Myositis, in the US and travelled extensively around the world.</p>

Because once you get one blockbuster, you just want a bigger blockbuster and another best actor award. It&rsquo;s never ending.
