Sajid Khan clarified that 'he is alive' and doing fine.&nbsp; In his video statement on Instagram, 'Housefull' director clarified that he has been receiving lot of phone calls enquiring about his well-being after the news of actor Sajid Khan&rsquo;s demise came out. He said that the late actor was 20 years older than him. The filmmaker also paid condolences to the deceased actor and said, &ldquo;May that Sajid Khan&rsquo;s soul genuinely rest in peace&rdquo;. &nbsp; Director Sajid Khan is Farah Khan&rsquo;s brother. Known for &lsquo;Housefull&rsquo; series, he has directed several other films and was also seen in TV Show Bigg Boss. &nbsp; On the other hand, actor Sajid Khan who played the younger 'Birju' in the Oscars nominated film 'Mother India' passed away on December 22. He also worked in the international films like &lsquo;Maya&rsquo; and &lsquo;The Singing Filipina&rsquo;. The late actor was battling cancer for a while. &nbsp; &nbsp;

Actor Sherlyn Chopra filed a police complaint against filmmaker Sajid Khan in Mumbai on Thursday, October 20. The complaint has been filed to bring to notice a painful incident that took place in 2005 where she was molested. Sherlyn has also written to Union Minister Anurag Thakur to stop &lsquo;Bigg Boss 16&rsquo; telecast until Sajid is not ousted.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Sherlyn could be heard saying to paps, &lsquo;I have come to the police station to file a complaint against <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/throwback-to-when-sajid-khan-talked-about-his-break-up-with-gauahar-khan-the-video-is-going-viral-1666007213633">Sajid Khan</a>, who is a #MeToo accused. He is a habitual sexual predator and molester. I have come to file a complaint against him under IPC section 354, 354 A. During the MeToo movement, Sherlyn had accused Sajid of allegedly flashing his private parts during a meeting at his Mumbai residence. &nbsp;
Sherlyn had shared a note on Twitter as well, saying, &lsquo;When I had met him in April 2005, a few days after my father's demise, he had taken his penis out of his pants and had asked me to feel it. I remember having told him that I know how a penis feels like and that the purpose of my meeting with him was not to feel or rate his penis. He has the &lsquo;superstars&rsquo; of Bollywood to vouch for his &lsquo;character&rsquo;. It&rsquo;s my word against theirs. The Bollywood mafia is a strong syndicate.&rsquo;
Sherlyn said the makers of &lsquo;Bigg Boss&rsquo; are not paying any heed to her request to remove Sajid from the house. She added that the channel does not understand the pain of women who have suffered because of him.
Following the MeToo allegations, Sajid had stepped down as the director of 'Housefull 4&rsquo;, and he was served a one-year ban by the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees).

A few days back, Delhi Commission for Women also protested Sajid&rsquo;s participation and wrote a letter to Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur, demanding Sajid&rsquo;s ouster.

Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal has claimed that she has been receiving rape threats after she wrote a letter against Sajid Khan, a TV reality show contestant to I&amp;B miniter Anurag Thakur.&nbsp;
In a Twitter post, Maliwal alleged that she has been getting rape threat on her Instagram DMs. Sharing a screenshot of the messages on the microblogging site, Maliwal said "Obviously, they want to stop our work. I am complaining to Delhi Police. Register FIR and investigate. Arrest those who are behind this," Swati Maliwal tweeted.
The DCW chairpersn moved against Sajid Khan demanding his removal from TV reality show Bigg Boss as Khan had previously been embroiled in #MeToo movement. Several women had brought sexual harassment charges against him during the movement.&nbsp;
Seeking action from the information and broadcasting ministry, Maliwal wrote to the ministry and said that it is inappropriate to feature a "sexual predator" in a primetime show. However, there has been no response from the ministry yet, Maliwal tol ANI.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, Federation of Western India Cine Employees in its letter to I&amp;B miniter said that Khan has already served the punishment as he was banned to work in the industry for an year.&nbsp;

Many celebrities, including Sona Mohapatra, have also slammed his entry in the show. Now, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has come out in Sajid&rsquo;s support and written a letter to minister of information and broadcasting, Anurag Thakur.
This comes in response to the <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/bigg-boss-16-dcw-chief-writes-to-union-minister-anurag-thakur-seeks-removal-of-sajid-khan-from-show-1665396061841">Delhi Commission of Women</a> chief Swati Maliwal&rsquo;s letter to Anurag, seeking an ouster of Sajid from &lsquo;Bigg Boss 16&rsquo; as he has been accused of sexual misconduct by several women.
In the letter, FWICE said that Sajid was banned from working in the film industry for one year and he has served the punishment. The ban was lifted in March 2019.
&lsquo;During this action initiated by the IFTDA and the FWICE, Sajid Khan was issued the non-cooperation from FWICE and was banned from working in the Film Industry for one year. Sajid Khan had co-operated with the IFTDA and FWICE and obeyed the decision of the POSH Committee. FWICE was satisfied with his behaviour during the period of his Ban and after the completion of the one year of this punishment the BAN on Shri Sajid Khan was lifted by the FWICE on 14.03.2019. Sajid Khan has now entered into the BIGG BOSS to earn his living,&rsquo; wrote FWICE.
The film industry worker&rsquo;s union also mentioned that Sajid has also gone through the tough trials of the POSH committee and a lot of humiliation during those trying days in social media and other public platforms. FWICE added that Sajid has the right to survive and earn his living and hence he has joined the &lsquo;Bigg Boss&rsquo; show.
In the letter FWICE has requested Anurag to allow Sajid Khan to work for the show &lsquo;Bigg Boss&rsquo; and not initiate any action against him as per the appeal submitted by the Delhi Commission of Women.
The 16th season of &lsquo;Bigg Boss&rsquo; premiered on Colors TV on October 1.

Payal Rohatgi, former &lsquo;Bigg Boss 2&rsquo; contestant, has defended filmmaker Sajid Khan&rsquo;s participation in &lsquo;Bigg Boss 16&rsquo; that has received much criticism on social media. The filmmaker was accused of sexual harassment by several actors and a journalist during the #MeToo movement in 2018. Following which, he was banned by the Indian Film &amp; Television Directors' Association for a year. &nbsp;
 This is the first time Sajid has got a public platform since the allegations surfaced in 2018. &nbsp; &nbsp; Recently, actor Mandana Karimi, who had accused Sajid of sexual harassment, had said that she doesn&rsquo;t wish to be a part of the industry which doesn&rsquo;t respect women. Now, her &lsquo;Lock Upp&rsquo; co-contestant Payal Rohatgi has spoken in favour of the filmmaker and slammed Mandana for leaving Bollywood. Payal mentions that Sajid has the &lsquo;right to live and earn money&rsquo;. &nbsp;&nbsp; In her Instagram stories, Payal said, &lsquo;Sajid Khan has done wrong with 6 women as they narrated publicly.
