At the Netflix event, Saif's upcoming film Jewel Thief &ndash; The Heist Begins was announced. The heist drama, directed by Robbie Grewal and Kookie Gulati, stars Saif alongside Jaideep Ahlawat.
The film is produced by Siddharth Anand, known for his work on Pathaan, and his wife Mamta Anand, under their production banner Marflix Pictures.

Jewel Thief &ndash; The Heist Begins follows Saif&rsquo;s character, a jewel thief hired by a powerful crime lord to steal a rare diamond called The African Red Sun. The heist takes a dramatic turn, resulting in chaos, betrayal, and unexpected alliances.
The film also stars Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta. It marks the reunion of Saif and director Siddharth Anand after 17 years, having previously worked together on Salaam Namaste (2005) and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).
Saif has already finished shooting for the movie, which will be released directly on Netflix.

A facial recognition test has confirmed that the individual arrested for allegedly stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is indeed the same person seen in the CCTV footage from his residence, according to the police.&nbsp;
The accused, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir (30), was arrested for the January 16 attack. The police official stated that the test report confirmed the match between the person in the CCTV footage from Satguru Sharan building in Bandra and Shariful Islam Shehzad.
Earlier in January, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who entered his home with the intention to commit theft.&nbsp;
After a violent confrontation, Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine and other parts of his body. He was quickly rushed to Lilavati Hospital for immediate treatment.
In the ongoing investigation into the attack on Saif, the Mumbai Police have claimed to have gathered significant evidence against the accused.&nbsp;
In a breakthrough, they revealed, "Arrested accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad's facial recognition tested positive. As per the test, the person in the CCTV footage and Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad are confirmed to be the same person."&nbsp;
The police also confirmed that the accused had entered India from Bangladesh and had been staying at various locations in Kolkata for several days before the incident.
Additionally, during a press conference, Paramjit Singh Dahiya, Additional Commissioner of Police, dismissed rumors that the fingerprints of the accused did not match.&nbsp;
He clarified, "Whenever an accusation is arrested, multiple pieces of evidence are collected against it. We have found much oral, physical, and technical evidence against the accused... We have caught the right person."
According to the police, the accused had entered Saif Ali Khan's residence with the intention of committing theft. A case has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). The police also reported that the accused was planning to flee to his native village in Bangladesh when he was detained in Thane at the Hiranandani Estate.
However, the accused's advocate, Sandeep Shekhane, denied the police's claims, alleging that "no proper investigation" had been conducted. Shekhane stated, "A police custody for 5 days has been granted. The court has asked the police to submit a report within 5 days. The police have no proof that he is a Bangladeshi. They said that he came here 6 months ago, it is a wrong statement. He has been living here for more than 7 years. His family is in Mumbai... This is a clear-cut violation of 43A. No proper investigation has been done."
Saif Ali Khan, after undergoing surgery, was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on January 21. Upon returning to his Bandra residence, he waved to the media, signaling his recovery.

The Bandra Magistrate Court has extended the police custody of the man accused of stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence until January 29.
The court stated that significant progress has been made in the case and that further investigation into key aspects is necessary. The offense is serious and will be triable by a sessions court.
The court also observed that investigating these aspects is essential for ascertaining the innocence of the accused, dismissing the claims regarding the BNSS section 35 notice and confirming the legality of the arrest.
The Mumbai Police requested additional time in custody for the accused, suspecting that there may be more accomplices involved in the stabbing.&nbsp;
The police mentioned that the suspect was not cooperating in identifying the weapon used and needed more time to conduct a facial recognition analysis with CCTV footage. They also emphasized that they still need to obtain the shoes the accused wore during the crime.&nbsp;
Additionally, the police recovered a Gamchha used by the accused during the attack.
The police have also taken the statement of Khukmoni Jahangir Sheikh from Kolkata, whose Aadhar card was used by the accused to purchase a SIM card.

I saw when he came out of the hospital, I doubted whether he had been stabbed or he was acting. He was dancing while walking."
Rane also targeted NCP leaders Supriya Sule and Jitendra Awhad, accusing them of selective concern.&nbsp;
He remarked, "Whenever any Khan like Shahrukh Khan or Saif Ali Khan gets hurt, everyone starts talking about it. When a Hindu actor like Sushant Singh Rajput is tortured, no one comes forward to say anything... That Mumbra's Jeetuddin (Jitendra Awhad) and Baramati's Tai (Supriya Sule) did not come forward to say anything... They are only worried about Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son and Nawab Malik... On Tuesday, Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora urged the government to swiftly deport Bangladeshis residing illegally in the state to ensure "Mumbai's safety."&nbsp;
Deora stated, "I have written a letter to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and urged that wherever any Bangladeshi is living illegally, should be deported as soon as possible. The incident that happened at Saif Ali Khan's house is very worrying."&nbsp;
He added that an audit of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants across the state was essential to "make Mumbai more safe" and called for strict action against agencies that fail to verify documents before hiring individuals.
The urgency followed an incident where actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in the thoracic spine by an intruder, identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national.&nbsp;
The intruder reportedly entered Khan's home with the intent to steal. Khan was rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital for treatment and was discharged on Tuesday, returning home.

Dr. Dange advised that rest is crucial due to wounds on Saif's back, which pose a risk of infection. "He is doing excellent. We made him walk. There was no problem or pain or any other symptoms.
Based on several parameters, including his injuries and wounds, he is deemed safe to be shifted out of the ICU. The only thing we have advised him is to take rest for some time, particularly because of the wounds on his back that could lead to infection," Dr. Dange stated.

Dixit Gedam, DCP Zone 9 of Mumbai Police, confirmed that an investigation into the attack is underway, though he withheld further details. "Investigation is underway. I can't disclose the details," he stated.
The incident occurred at Saif Ali Khan's residence in the 'Satguru Sharan' building in Bandra. The altercation began when an intruder reportedly confronted the actor&rsquo;s maid.
When Saif tried to intervene and diffuse the situation, it turned physical. The actor sustained injuries during the struggle and was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital for medical treatment.
According to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lilavati Hospital, Saif Ali Khan was admitted at 3 am on Thursday. The actor suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deep, one near his spine, and a foreign object was found close to the same area.
In response to the attack, Ashoke Pandit, President of the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), condemned the assault.

"The attack on film star Saif Ali Khan in his own house is a matter of concern. IFTDA condemns this attack. The concern is about the security of the building, and the security agencies of the building, as to how an intruder reaches the 12th floor and enters the house. This is a matter of investigation, which the Mumbai Police is very competent and capable of looking into this matter," Pandit stated.
Several prominent figures, including Jr. NTR and Chiranjeevi, expressed shock and concern over the attack.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut attacked the BJP-led state government over the incident and asked when artists like Saif Ali Khan are attacked then to what extent the common public is safe? The UBT MP questioned Maharashtra's Home Minister on the prevailing law and order situation in the state. Raut further claimed that such incidents are happening on a "daily basis" in slum areas but this incident came to light because a celebrity was attacked.

Speaking with Film Companion, Saif Ali Khan emphasized that he doesn't perceive himself as a star capable of launching diverse projects. He referenced his 2019 Western film &lsquo;Laal Kaptaan&rsquo;, directed by Navdeep Singh, which struggled to surpass the Rs 50 lakh mark on its opening day. Reflecting on the failure of &lsquo;Laal Kaptaan,&rsquo; Saif Ali Khan reminisced about his co-star Deepak Dobriyal's remark on set. Dobriyal likened the film's arduous shooting conditions to &lsquo;The Revenant,&rsquo; noting the physical challenges they faced while being exposed to the wilderness, entirely subject to nature's whims.
&lsquo;Firstly, it was an amazing experience, and so exhausting. And emotionally, we spent a couple of months apart,&rsquo; he said, gesturing at his wife, Kareena Kapoor, who was also a part of the interview.

He underwent a surgery at Mumbai&rsquo;s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital after an old injury got triggered during the shooting of his upcoming film.
