<p>The makers of "Ramayana", billed as an ambitious cinematic event, on Thursday unveiled the first glimpse of the upcoming mythological epic, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.</p>
<p>Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra&rsquo;s Prime Focus Studios and DNEG, in association with Yash&rsquo;s Monster Mind Creations, the film is a two-part live-action saga set 5,000 years ago and rooted in one of Indian mythology&rsquo;s most enduring epics, a press release said.</p>

<p>The first part is slated to release worldwide in IMAX during Diwali 2026, with part two following in Diwali 2027.</p>
<p>"Ramayana" features Ranbir as Lord Rama, "KGF" star Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita as Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lord Lakshman.</p>
<p>The film's crew includes renowned international artists, including Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman, who are collaborating on the score.</p>
<p>The action sequences are choreographed by Hollywood stunt veterans Terry Notary and Guy Norris, and the film&rsquo;s visual world is being shaped by production designers Ravi Bansal of "Dune 2" fame and Ramsey Avery as "Captain America".</p>

<p>Filming for Nitesh Tiwari&rsquo;s &lsquo;Ramayana&rsquo;, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is currently underway at Mumbai&rsquo;s Film City with sets in Josh Maidan and Helipad. As per a News18 report, the working title of the film is &lsquo;God Power.&rsquo;</p>
<p>To prevent photo leaks, the &lsquo;Ramayana&rsquo; team is now filming indoors and has covered the sets. Despite efforts like a no-phone policy on set, photos of Ranbir and Sai's looks from the film were leaked. According to the report, curtains have been put up all around, and surveillance has been tightened.</p>
<p>News18 quoted a source as saying, &lsquo;Ranbir will continue shooting for Ramayana and begin the prep for Love And War in the second half of August or early September simultaneously. While Alia will get busy with filming YRF&rsquo;s upcoming spy thriller with Sharvari Wagh, Ranbir will dive into script reading sessions and discussions with Bhansali before beginning its shoot. Bhansali, in fact, will begin Love And War with him as the latter may reach the conclusion of the shoot of the first part of the Ramayana trilogy by November. The shoot of Love And War will begin in Mumbai but a set for the same is yet to be constructed.&rsquo;</p>
<p>The report states that the film will feature &lsquo;elaborate song sequences,&rsquo; with Bhansali personally discussing them with his production design team. It has not been disclosed when Vicky Kaushal, who is also part of the film, will join the shoot.</p>

<p>Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara. However, an official announcement regarding the film is still pending.</p>

<p>Despite the secrecy surrounding the project, actors and team members are revealing details about Ramayana. Ajinkya Deo confirmed his role in the film by sharing a selfie with Ranbir Kapoor. He also mentioned his recent collaborations with the Kapoor family, including Neetu Kapoor in &lsquo;Letters to Mr. Khanna&rsquo; and Karisma Kapoor in &lsquo;Brown.&rsquo;</p>

Shooting for the film began last month, with clips from the opulent sets going viral on X. Now, new visuals from the shoot of the upcoming film have gone viral. The leaked pictures show the leading pair dressed as their characters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The leaked photos show Ranbir decked up in traditional attire as Ayodhya's crown prince, Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi looks ethereal as Goddess Sita. Ranbir wore a maroon dhoti and layered a matching dupatta to elevate the royal look. He accessorised his look with a long gold neck chain. Sporting long hair, he kept a subtle smile on his face. Sai Pallavi, meanwhile, wore a purple saree and accessorised her look with heavy traditional jewellery. Going by the looks of it, it appears that a pre-vanavasa sequence was being filmed.&nbsp;</p>
