The OnePlus 15 is a turning point for the brand, and to really understand what this phone is trying to do, you have to look at it next to its closest rivals. So while this is a review of the OnePlus 15, it also makes sense to compare it to last year&rsquo;s OnePlus 13 and Apple&rsquo;s new iPhone 17 &mdash; because together, they paint a very interesting picture.
This year, OnePlus has taken a noticeably different direction. The OnePlus 15 comes with several trade-offs. The Hasselblad branding is gone, the display resolution steps down, the camera sensors are smaller, and even the haptics aren&rsquo;t as strong as before. On paper, it looks like OnePlus is pulling back.
Meanwhile, Apple is pushing forward. The iPhone 17 finally brings a smooth 120Hz ProMotion display to the base model, upgrades the ultrawide camera to 48MP, and starts at a much more practical 256GB.
And then you have the OnePlus 13, which still stands as a well-rounded flagship &mdash; strong performance, solid cameras, and that classic OnePlus feel.
So the question is simple: did OnePlus really take a step backward with the 15, or is this part of a bigger, smarter strategy? Let&rsquo;s dive in.
<h2>Design &amp; Build</h2>
The OnePlus 15 feels cleaner and more industrial this year. The new Sandstorm finish gives it a matte, grippy texture that hides smudges well, and the whole thing&rsquo;s flatter and lighter. This Sandstorm variant gets a glass-fiber back, while the black and purple versions use either Gorilla Glass 7i or Crystal Shield Glass.
So, depending on which color you pick, you&rsquo;re also getting a different material feel. Overall, it&rsquo;s a really comfortable phone to use and despite that 6.78-inch display, it doesn&rsquo;t feel bulky or oversized in the hand.
That said, I still prefer the frosty matte back on the OnePlus 13 &mdash; it has a nicer in-hand feel.
Side by side, the change is obvious. The circular camera bump is gone, and it&rsquo;s now a squared-off module. It's &nbsp;sharper, simpler, and clearly inspired by Oppo&rsquo;s design language.
The new nano-ceramic metal frame is aerospace-grade, 26% lighter than titanium, tougher, and better with heat. It feels dense yet cool &mdash; like metal and ceramic had a baby.
As for durability, the OnePlus 15 is rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K &mdash; basically meaning it&rsquo;s protected against dust, water, and even high-pressure jets. That&rsquo;s a level of protection you don&rsquo;t really see on other flagships.&nbsp;
For comparison, the OnePlus 13 has IP69 and iPhone 17 offers IP68, which is good, but not quite this extreme.
The OnePlus 13 still feels great in the hand &mdash; &nbsp; solid build, nice grip and yes, the alert slider&rsquo;s still here. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 is the most compact and balanced of the bunch &mdash; light, premium, and classic Apple comfort.
<h2>Display</h2>
Now, let&rsquo;s talk about the display on the OnePlus 15 &mdash; this one&rsquo;s a bit of an oddball. It&rsquo;s the first phone with a 165Hz LTPO AMOLED panel, which sounds impressive&hellip; but you probably know by now that the screen resolution drops from QHD+ to 1.5K, and the 165Hz refresh rate isn&rsquo;t available when scrolling or swiping through the UI. That&rsquo;s capped at 120Hz.&nbsp;
Only select games, like Call of Duty Mobile, can take advantage of that high refresh rate. It does support 165FPS gameplay, but I&rsquo;ll discuss that later. &nbsp;So no, you&rsquo;re not seeing 165Hz magic in the UI or everywhere else. The 120Hz experience is still super smooth &mdash; but to be fair, you already had that on the OnePlus 13.
Infact, the OnePlus 13 still hits harder on paper with QHD+ resolution and 4,500 nits of peak brightness, but the 15 fights back with smarter HDR tone mapping and Ultra HDR support, giving you richer contrast and more lifelike colour. It also has some of the thinnest and most symmetrical bezels I&rsquo;ve ever seen on a smartphone.
As for the iPhone 17, it finally brings 120Hz to the base model and achieves a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It&rsquo;s the smallest display here at 6.3 inches, but day to day, it&rsquo;s buttery smooth, incredibly bright, and the color accuracy is classic Apple &mdash; easily one of the most premium screens you can get right now.
<h2>Perfrmance and 165 FPS Gaming</h2>
The OnePlus 15 runs what OnePlus calls a Tri-Chip system, and it&rsquo;s kind of wild. There's the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 330 Hz Touch Response Chip, and a Wi-Fi G2 chip that keeps connections rock solid, even with weak signal. Put all that together &mdash; CPU, touch, and connectivity &mdash; and you&rsquo;ve basically got a holy trinity of performance.&nbsp; &nbsp;
Compared to the OnePlus 13, which had the Snapdragon 8 Elite, you&rsquo;re looking at roughly a 20% boost on AnTuTu. Geekbench numbers tell a similar story &mdash; the 15 edges out both the 13 and the iPhone 17 in multi-core performance. It does run a little warmer under sustained load, but it barely throttles. (See video for exact benchmark results). That means even during long gaming sessions or heavy multitasking, you&rsquo;re not going to see sudden dips in performance.
Speaking of gaming &mdash; the OnePlus 15 takes things up a notch. As I mentioned earlier, it can run select games at a full 165 FPS, thanks to OnePlus&rsquo;s OP FPS Max technology. This isn&rsquo;t fake frame interpolation &mdash; it&rsquo;s true native 165 FPS on a custom 165Hz panel. We tested it with COD Mobile, and even after half an hour, the phone held that frame rate steady.&nbsp;
Will it matter to everyone? Probably not. Casual gamers won&rsquo;t see a huge difference beyond smoother motion. But for competitive players, that faster response and fluid gameplay can be a legit edge. Either way, it&rsquo;s super cool to see a phone actually hit native 165 FPS &mdash; because right now, no one else does.
Now, that&rsquo;s not to say the other two phones are bad for gaming. The OnePlus 13 can handle 120 FPS in supported games, and the iPhone 17 tops out at 60 FPS, but that A19 chip can crush any title you throw at it. But if you&rsquo;re chasing pure performance and high frame rates, the OnePlus 15 is the new king.
The OnePlus 15 pulls ahead when it comes to RAM and storage. The 16GB version uses LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM, which boosts multitasking and overall responsiveness, while both the 12GB and 16GB variants get faster UFS 4.1 storage.
The OnePlus 13, on the other hand, offers up to 24GB of RAM but relies on regular LPDDR5X and slightly slower UFS 4.0 storage.
The iPhone 17 might only have 8GB of RAM, but Apple&rsquo;s tight integration between hardware and software keeps performance consistently smooth.
All three phones start at 256GB of storage, even the base iPhone 17.
Battery &amp; Charging 
&nbsp;The OnePlus 15 is packing a huge 7,300 mAh cell. That&rsquo;s one of the biggest batteries we&rsquo;ve seen in a flagship. Pair that with 120W wired charging &mdash; you&rsquo;re going from 0 to 50% in just about 17 minutes, and a full charge takes around 40. Plus, there&rsquo;s 50W wireless charging, making it a dream setup for gamers or heavy users.
The OnePlus 13 isn&rsquo;t far behind &mdash; 6,000 mAh battery, 100W wired charging and 50W wireless. This setup still offers excellent endurance and super-fast top-ups. For most people, that easily lasts a full day and more.
Then there&rsquo;s the iPhone 17 with just 3,692 mAh on paper, but Apple&rsquo;s efficiency is next level. The A19 chip and iOS optimization easily push it through a full day. Charging also got faster &mdash; 40W wired, 50% in 20 minutes, full in about 90. So yeah, smaller battery, but still really dependable in real-world use.
<h2>Camera Performance</h2>
Cameras are where you can see OnePlus shifting its priorities. When you line up the camera specs, it&rsquo;s clear the OnePlus 15 steps down a bit from the OnePlus 13. The new phone swaps last year&rsquo;s larger sensors and faster apertures for smaller ones across the board.
The main sensor moves from the 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT808 to a 1/1.56-inch IMX906. The ultrawide now uses a smaller OmniVision OV50D, and even the periscope zoom shifts from a larger IMX882 to the Samsung JN5.&nbsp;
OnePlus has also officially ended its partnership with Hasselblad. Instead, the company has moved to its own in-house DetailMax Engine for image processing.&nbsp;
Overall, photos clicked on the OnePlus 15 look sharp and detailed, but they do lean a little too saturated at times. Skin tones, especially, can come out warmer than they should. On the plus side, the video capabilities are seriously strong. You get 10-bit Log, 4K at 120 FPS video with Dolby Vision HDR, and even 8K at 30.&nbsp;
The tools are there, but it&rsquo;s clear OnePlus isn&rsquo;t trying to chase the absolute best camera crown this year. They&rsquo;ve made trade-offs to focus on performance and battery instead.
The OnePlus 13, on the other hand, feels more like the camera-focused OnePlus we used to know. You still get that triple 50MP setup (with larger sensors), and thanks to Hasselblad&rsquo;s color tuning, the images come out balanced and natural.
It&rsquo;s versatile across all focal lengths, and low-light performance holds up really well. Honestly, between the two, the 13 is still the better OnePlus camera phone in my opinion.
Then you&rsquo;ve got the iPhone 17, which takes the classic Apple route &mdash; a dual setup with a 48MP main and a 48MP ultra-wide. But here, it&rsquo;s not about the hardware, it&rsquo;s the processing.&nbsp;
Colors are consistent, dynamic range is excellent, and low-light shots look clean without getting noisy or crushed. And video quality is still the gold standard &mdash; smooth stabilization, natural tone, and that 24MP selfie camera with Center Stage is genuinely one of the best front-facing setups out there.
If you just want a phone that takes great photos and videos every single time without any tweaking, the iPhone 17 still makes that experience effortless.
<h2>Audio, Haptics &amp; Software</h2>
Now, let&rsquo;s talk about the little things &mdash; haptics, speakers, and all the extras that actually make using these phones feel premium day to day.
On the OnePlus 15, the speakers sound better this year. It's louder and more balanced, but the haptics have taken a hit. They feel softer than they did last year, and that iconic alert slider is gone. It has been replaced by a new programmable &ldquo;Plus Key,&rdquo; which is handy but lacks the same charm.
The OnePlus 13 keeps things classic &mdash; strong, crisp haptics and the alert slider still right where it should be. It just feels more familiar and satisfying to use.
As for the iPhone 17, it&rsquo;s peak polish. Haptics are perfect, stereo speakers are rich and full, and the overall experience &mdash; from hardware to software &mdash; just feels cohesive.&nbsp;
Sotware wise, the OnePlus 15 ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. I won&rsquo;t dive deep into it here, as we&rsquo;ve already written a full article on the topic when we tested Oxygen OS 16 on the OnePlus 13s. If you&rsquo;re curious, feel free to check it out. But in short &mdash; faster animations, deeper customization, and a bunch of new AI features that actually work pretty well.
&nbsp;The OnePlus 13 still runs OxygenOS 15 based on Android 16, but the OxygenOS 16 rollout has already started. So, most users should see the update hit their phones by the end of November. &nbsp;
On the iPhone 17, you&rsquo;re getting iOS 26. If you&rsquo;re an Apple user, you're probably going to swear by it. But even Apple fans would agree that Apple Intelligence still isn&rsquo;t quite on the same level as what OnePlus is offering with AI right now.
That said, Apple still wins on longevity &mdash; six to seven years of iOS updates versus four on both the OnePlus phones.&nbsp;
<h2>Final Verdict</h2>
Ok, so which one should you go for?
The OnePlus 13 remains the classic all-rounder &mdash; boasting great design, solid cameras, and that signature OnePlus feel. The iPhone 17 is easily the safest bet, especially if you are an Apple user&mdash; super consistent, great cameras, excellent software, and long-term reliability.
But the real standout this year, for me, is the OnePlus 15. It might look like a downgrade on paper, but once you actually use it, it&rsquo;s easily the most balanced phone of the bunch.&nbsp;
The performance is rock-solid, the battery life is excellent, and that new 165Hz FPS gaming feels ridiculously smooth. If the cameras were just a bit better, this would&rsquo;ve been an easy A+. But even as it stands, it&rsquo;s a solid A &mdash; and that&rsquo;s still pretty great.

OnePlus has been teasing the device for a while, and the big headline feature is that massive 7,300mAh battery &mdash; that&rsquo;s around 21 percent larger than what we got on the OnePlus 13. We&rsquo;ve had early access to the device, so before the full review drops, here&rsquo;s a quick unboxing and first look at what&rsquo;s new.
<h2>Inside the Box</h2>
Here&rsquo;s what you get in the box: a 120W SuperVOOC fast charger, the classic red USB-A to USB-C cable, a color-matched soft case, SIM ejector tool, all the paperwork, and the OnePlus Red Cable Club card. Simple, complete, and very OnePlus.
<h2>OnePlus 15: Design and Build</h2>
The OnePlus 15 comes in three colors: Infinite Black, Sand Storm, and Ultra Violet. We have the Sand Storm version here &mdash; inspired by natural sand dunes with a matte texture that feels premium and hides fingerprints really well.
This year, OnePlus has added IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, giving the phone better protection from dust, water, and even high-pressure sprays. You&rsquo;ll also notice the new flat front and back paired with a matte frame for a cleaner, industrial look. One big change: the iconic alert slider is gone.
Instead, we get the new Plus Key, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 13S. It lets you capture what&rsquo;s on your screen or save snippets directly to Mind Space for later. The OnePlus 15 doesn&rsquo;t just look different from the OnePlus 12 or 13, it feels different too &mdash; more solid, more refined, and more minimal.
<h2>OnePlus 15: Camera Changes</h2>
If you&rsquo;ve noticed, the Hasselblad branding is missing. That&rsquo;s because OnePlus has officially ended its eight-year partnership with Hasselblad. So, the camera system here is entirely OnePlus&rsquo;s own. We&rsquo;ve shot a few quick samples in different lighting conditions, and they look promising so far, but we&rsquo;ll need to dive deeper to really see what&rsquo;s changed. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3r are the latest budget-friendly TWS offering from OnePlus, promising great features at an affordable price point under ₹2,000. With a host of impressive specs and a sleek design, they&rsquo;re aimed at those looking for a solid audio experience without breaking the bank.
But with the growing number of wireless earbuds flooding the market, do the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r stand out enough to justify their place in your ears? We find out!
<h3>OnePlus Nord Buds 3r: Design &amp; Comfort</h3>
When it comes to design, OnePlus has gone for a fresh, rectangular-shaped design with sharp lines, which makes the Nord Buds 3r look modern. The matte finish adds a premium touch, and it does a great job of resisting fingerprints.
The case itself is a bit chunkier compared to some of the most popular budget models, but this bulk allows for a larger battery, but, this makes case not that pocket-friendly.
If you're used to ultra-compact designs, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r might feel a little on the bulkier side. But when you factor in the larger battery, it's a trade-off I&rsquo;m willing to accept.
Fit-wise, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r offers a solid and comfortable fit. I even tested them how well they stay seated by shaking head violently a few times, and I must say, the buds stayed in place, which is always a good sign for a secure, snug fit. The buds also come with extra eartips, so you can find the perfect size for your ears.
Plus, with IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, you don&rsquo;t have to worry about sweat or light rain.
<h3>OnePlus Nord Buds 3r: Touch Controls</h3>
You get some basic touch and tap controls with the earbuds. A single tap allows you to play/pause your music. Volume control is also sorted on these; just tap and hold to adjust the volume.
What&rsquo;s even better is that the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r let&rsquo;s you customise various gesntures and taps for the touch controls via the HeyMelody app, which is available on both Android and iOS. You can also even set the double tap function on the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r to take selfies, which I found fun and practical.
I did miss the wear detection feature, though. So when you take the buds out, your music keeps playing. Not exactly a a dealbreaker, but it&rsquo;s definitely a miss in 2025.
<h3>OnePlus Nord Buds 3r: Audio</h3>
When it comes to audio quality, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3R are definitely bass-heavy. They come with a 12.4mm driver, and right off the bat, the bass is punchy. If you&rsquo;re someone who loves deep, thumping lows, these earbuds will deliver.
I tested these buds with a few tracks, starting with Bohemian Rhapsody, and I noticed that the vocals felt a bit muffled. The highs weren&rsquo;t as crisp as I would have liked, and there was some distortion in the higher frequencies. The bass, though powerful, was clearly the dominant feature in the sound profile.
I switched to Tu Jhoom, and the story was somewhat the same. The bass was strong, but it also drowned out the vocals. While I do enjoy a good, punchy bass, having too much of it can make it difficult to truly enjoy other aspects of the song. It&rsquo;s all about balance, and for me, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3R tipped the scale too far towards bass, making the experience a little too overwhelming.
However, it&rsquo;s not all bad. If you're a bass lover, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3R will definitely satisfy your cravings. They have a fun, punchy sound that works well with genres that thrive on low-end frequencies, like EDM or hip-hop. But if you&rsquo;re someone who prefers a more balanced sound with clearer vocals and detailed highs, you might find the OnePlus Nord Buds 3R a bit too overpowering in the bass department.
The OnePlus Nord Buds 3r do come with custom EQ settings, so you can adjust the sound to suit your preferences.

Now, let&rsquo;s discuss battery life, which is an area where the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r really impresses. With a 560mAh battery, these buds provide up to 54 hours of total playback with the case. The earbuds themselves last around 12 hours on a full charge, which is fantastic considering the price point. You won&rsquo;t have to charge these every day, and for someone like me who is always on the move, that&rsquo;s a win.
But the real winner here is how quickly it charges. In just 10 minutes of charging, you get 8 hours of playback, which is insanely good when you&rsquo;re in a rush. If you forget to charge them the night before, you&rsquo;ll still be able to use them for hours with just a quick top-up.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 3r comes with the HeyMelody app for Android and iOS, which allows you to customise your EQ settings and adjust the touch controls. The app is easy to navigate and does its job well. Real-time adjustments to sound, control, and features make it a breeze to personalise your experience.
Another great feature is dual-device connection. You can connect the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r to two devices at once, which is super handy if you need to switch between your phone and laptop without having to disconnect and reconnect each time.
Another feature worth mentioning is spatial audio. It adds a sense of depth to the audio, but it&rsquo;s not quite as immersive as it would be on higher-end headphones. Still, for budget earbuds, it&rsquo;s a nice addition that enhances the listening experience.

Realme 15 Pro goes all in on cameras, display and AI&mdash;but can it outplay the Nord CE 5&rsquo;s speed or the Phone 3a&rsquo;s vibe? Here&rsquo;s our take after real-world testing.

The Realme 15 Pro is the latest addition to the brand&rsquo;s popular number series, and, as always, there&rsquo;s a lot of excitement around it.
But it faces some tough competition from the Nord CE 5, a straight-up performance beast, and the Nothing Phone 3a a phone that oozes style.&nbsp;
I&rsquo;ve been using all three for a while now, and I&rsquo;ve got thoughts.
<h2>Performance</h2>
Let&rsquo;s talk performance, because on the surface, all three of these phones sound solid.&nbsp;
The Realme 15 Pro rocks the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, the Nord CE 5 is on the Dimensity 8350 Apex and the Nothing Phone 3a, runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.
But, the Realme &amp; Nothing get LPDDR4X RAM, while the Nord CE 5 steps it up with LPDDR5X RAM. For storage, Realme and Nord bring UFS 3.1, whereas Nothing, sticks to UFS 2.2. Not exactly a wise choice.
Also, only the OnePlus supports expandable storage, and I am all for it.
In Antutu, the Nord CE 5 absolutely smoked the other two with a score of over 1.4 million. Realme wasn&rsquo;t bad, it scored about 1.09 million, but Nothing didn&rsquo;t even hit a million.
3DMark&rsquo;s Wildlife Extreme Stress test was wild. The Nord had the highest loop score of 3035, but its stability was just 33.2%. Both Realme and Nothing had a stability of over 99%, but their loop scores were way lower. In fact, Nothing&rsquo;s score was a third of what OnePlus&rsquo; score, which is insane.
In the CPU throttle test however, the Nothing Phone 3a impressed. It dropped to just 92% and had solid scores. Realme dropped to 89%, but had the highest peak performance. The Nord kinda fell apart here. It throttled to 69%, and had the lowest average.
But like I've always said, benchmarks are just numbers. Gaming tells you way more.
Both Realme and OnePlus support 90fps in BGMI, but OnePlus has some clever, frame-boosting tricks. In a 10-minute match, it averaged 118.4fps, dipping to just 112.5 fps for 5% lows. It also ran cooler at 37.4&deg;C.&nbsp;
Realme also did well, averaging 89.5 fps. But the 5% lows dropped to 86.1, and it ran warm at 40.1&deg;C.&nbsp;
The Phone 3a supports 120fps in BGMI, but we never crossed 90. It averaged 89.8fps with max temps at 34&deg;C.
I mean, sure, it's stable, but what&rsquo;s the point if it can&rsquo;t deliver what it should?
Also, shoutout to OnePlus and Realme for including bypass charging. That&rsquo;s a lifesaver during long gaming sessions.&nbsp;
So if gaming&rsquo;s a big deal for you, this is pretty much a two-horse race. But what about cameras?
<h2>Cameras</h2>
Well, the Nothing Phone 3a packs a solid setup&mdash;a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP 2x telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide.&nbsp;
The Realme looks like it comes with three cameras, but actually, it&rsquo;s just a 50MP main with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide. On the front though, it flexes with a 50MP selfie shooter.&nbsp;
The Nord CE 5 keeps it simple with a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide, and a 16MP selfie cam.
All three main cameras are solid, but each has its quirks. Realme usually nails shots but fumbles white balance here and there.&nbsp;
Nothing Phone 3a sometimes underexposes in bright light, and the Nord CE 5 plays it safe&mdash;consistent, but not exciting.&nbsp;
That said, I&rsquo;d still pick the Phone 3a. Its colours pop, and the detail is just a bit sharper.
In low light Realme takes the crown. It grabs the most detail and nails exposure.&nbsp;
Nothing tends to over-brighten, and the Nord often ends up too dark.&nbsp;
Ultrawide is another win for Realme &mdash;great detail, even if a bit dim. Nothing and Nord are fine, but Nord&rsquo;s output feels the flattest.
Video is a mixed bag. Nothing maxes out at 4K30, while the other two go up to 4K60. All three of them have pretty good stabilisation. But I&rsquo;d still go with Nothing&mdash;it looks better, and has better colours.
Realme nails selfies with sharp detail and solid edge detection, while the Phone 3a also holds up well. Nord&rsquo;s photos feel flat and occasionally off in colour.
For me, the Nothing Phone 3a is the best overall camera pick, thanks to its versatile setup. Realme comes in a close second with strong low-light and ultrawide performance.
Now, let's quickly take a look at the other stuff.&nbsp;
<h2>Design</h2>
The Nord CE 5 also looks great, especially in this blue finish, but still misses out on the alert slider and even the new plus key.
Realme 15 Pro has a mostly plastic body. Ours came in Silky Purple, which looks nice, but I don&rsquo;t like how cheap the plastic back feels. &nbsp;However, Realme does feel the lightest and slimmest in the hand.&nbsp;
Nothing of course, has its glyph lights, but the Realme too has a cool, colour-changing pulse ring around one of the cameras to alert you about notifications.
You can also shake the Realme 15 Pro to launch the camera or turn on the torch &mdash; a trick borrowed from Moto phones. It&rsquo;s just as gimmicky, but I have to admit, I kind of like it.
Realme also wins big on durability with its IP66, 68, and 69 ratings, along with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front.&nbsp;
Nord has IP65, and Nothing settles for IP64 with Panda Glass.&nbsp;
<h2>Display</h2>
Realme also crushes it on display&mdash;6.8-inch, 10-bit AMOLED panel, 1800 nits HBM, 6500 nits peak brightness&mdash;it has all the impressive numbers. To me, it looks brighter and better than the other two, in every way, though I am not a fan of the quad-curved panel.
Weirdly though, it is a 144Hz panel that only works in some system apps, not in games. Maybe a software update will fix that&hellip;
Now, both the Realme and Nothing come with stereo speakers, but the Nord only packs a mono set-up, which was a massive red flag for me
<h2>Software</h2>
When it comes to software, Nothing OS is clean and minimal with 3+6 years of updates, but OnePlus edges ahead with 4+6 years and a smoother OxygenOS 15 experience. Realme UI is more cluttered but loaded with AI tools like voice editing and glare removal in photos, though it only offers 2+3 years of software support.
OnePlus has its own AI tools, but it&rsquo;s not as stacked as Realme. So if you care about AI features, Realme easily offers the most to play with.

So it&rsquo;s no longer just about specs &mdash; it&rsquo;s about the overall experience.
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE5: Design &amp; Build</h3>
The OnePlus Nord CE5 design follows the clean, minimalist approach OnePlus has become known for. I got my hands on the Nexus Blue version, and while it&rsquo;s a nice shade, I couldn&rsquo;t help but notice how much it resembled the colour of the iPhone 16 &mdash; not just the colour, but the overall vibe. It&rsquo;s not a bad thing; in fact, I actually like it, but it does feel a bit "familiar."
The back panel and frame are plastic, which is typical at this price point. The build feels solid enough, though, and it manages to keep fingerprints at bay fairly well. What stands out is how light the phone feels, especially given its large 7,100mAh battery. It&rsquo;s easy to hold, and the buttons feel nice and tactile, which is always a win.

Gaming performance is strong for a mid-range device. Both Call of Duty: Mobile and BGMI run at 90fps, and even after 45 minutes of gaming sessions, the phone stays relatively cool. Thermals are well-managed, though like most phones in this category, some frame dips do appear during sustained gameplay at high settings.

You get 1080p video at 60fps from the selfie shooter, and stills generally look natural with good skin tone rendering.
Video recording maxes out at 4K 60fps from the main sensor. Optical image stabilisation (OIS) is present, and Ultra Steady mode is available if you want smoother 1080p footage. The ultrawide camera is limited to 1080p 30fps and doesn&rsquo;t include OIS.

Today, we&rsquo;re diving into an epic showdown between two powerhouse earbuds: the new flagship OnePlus Buds Pro 3 and my trusty Realme Buds Air 6 Pro.
With OnePlus coming in at a higher price point, it&rsquo;s time to see if the upgrade justifies the extra cash when compared to Realme's excellent value for money offering.
<h3>OnePlus Buds Pro 3 Design</h3>
First off, both the OnePlus and Realme earbuds sport a similar pebble-shaped charging case, perfect for slipping into your pocket. The OnePlus case weighs in at 61 grams compared to the Realme's lighter 46 grams, thanks to a larger battery.
Realme goes for a chrome look, while OnePlus opts for a premium vegan leather finish, which isn't real leather but it still feels nice. Now, it's hard to say how this material will hold up against wear and tear in the long run but we should point out that the chrome on Realme&rsquo;s case is already showing signs of wear after just a month of use.
Both earbuds feature a stem-style design, but the OnePlus adds a nice touch with a matte and glossy combo. Fit-wise, they both stay snug in your ears, but OnePlus edges out for all-day comfort. And while both have an IP55 rating, the OnePlus case itself doesn&rsquo;t have any IP protection, so keep that in mind.&nbsp;
<h3>OnePlus Buds Pro 3 App &amp; Connectivity</h3>
On the connectivity front, both earbuds pack Bluetooth, with Realme at version 5.3 and OnePlus stepping it up to 5.4. They both support dual-device connections, which is a huge plus, and it means you can seamlessly switch between let's say your phone and tablet without the hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting.
Both buds get app support - &nbsp;HeyMelody app for OnePlus and Realme Link for, well, Realme. These apps work on both Android and iOS, but Realme Link offers a few more extra settings.&nbsp; Now, about audio codecs: Realme supports LDAC, while OnePlus uses LHDC, both boasting Hi-Res audio capabilities.
But there&rsquo;s a catch, OnePlus buds can&rsquo;t use Hi-Res on iOS, so you&rsquo;ll need an Android device for that feature. When it comes to quick pairing, Google Fast Pair is available for both. It allows your earbuds to instantly connect to your Android device with just a tap, similar to the way AirPods work with iPhones.
Realme also advertises a lower latency of 55ms compared to OnePlus' 94ms. Lower latency is crucial for gamers because it reduces the delay between audio and video, providing a more synchronized experience.
In our experience, though, the difference in gaming performance was negligible. Just remember that Realme&rsquo;s low latency mode needs to be activated in the app.
We might as well talk a bit about the touch controls. The Buds Pro 3 gets customizable squeeze-based controls. You can even adjust the volume right from the stem! Although, we have to admit, the volume control on the inner side threw us off at first. It took us a couple of tries to get the hang of it.
Now, the Realme earbuds go for touch controls. While they're easy enough to use, they don&rsquo;t offer a volume control option, and they can be a bit finicky at times. On the bright side, both earbuds have wear detection, which is always a nifty feature!
<h3>OnePlus Buds Pro 3 Audio &amp; Call Quality</h3>
The OnePlus buds continue the legacy of their predecessors with Dynaudio, featuring a 6mm tweeter and an 11mm woofer. Realme&rsquo;s bass is there but needs a boost from the equalizer, while OnePlus delivers more punch right out of the box.
The mids and vocals on OnePlus are crisp and clear with a touch of bass, but at 100% volume on default settings, it can be a bit much. Realme, on the other hand, handles high volumes better.
<h3>OnePlus Buds Pro 3 ANC</h3>
Active noise cancellation is a highlight for both, each claiming to block up to 50 decibels of ambient noise. In our testing, OnePlus provided superior noise cancellation and a more comfortable fit.
Plus, the transparency mode on the OnePlus is stellar it&rsquo;s so natural, that it feels like you&rsquo;re not even wearing earbuds. Both earbuds come with noise cancellation for calls. We tested them in a noisy outdoor setting and felt that both sounded equally good.
<h3>OnePlus Buds Pro 3 Battery</h3>
Battery life is another strong suit for both, with OnePlus boasting 44 hours of combined playback and Realme offering 40 hours. These numbers don&rsquo;t include noise cancellation, but even with it on, both managed to last four days without a full recharge. However, OnePlus scores extra points with wireless charging for the case.

So, is the extra cost for the OnePlus earbuds worth it? If you&rsquo;re all about premium sound quality or need top-notch noise cancellation, OnePlus should be your go-to choice. But if you want reliable performance without breaking the bank, Realme might just hit the sweet spot.

<h2>The OnePlus Watch 2R offers similar features to the OnePlus Watch 2 but at a reduced price of ₹17,999. Lightweight, versatile, and cost-effective, it's a solid choice for smartwatch enthusiasts.</h2>

We've been using the OnePlus Watch 2 as my daily driver for some time now, and we really like it. It's a solid smartwatch and way better than the original OnePlus Watch, which lets face it, wasn't all that great.&nbsp; However, the ₹24,999 price tag for the Watch 2 always felt a bit steep.
Thankfully, OnePlus listened and launched the OnePlus Watch 2R in India for ₹17,999. So, what sets these two apart, and which one should you choose? If your budget is flexible, should you go for the Watch 2R or splurge on the Watch 2? We have got both here to help you decide.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Design</h3>
So, the OnePlus Watch 2R has an aluminum frame, making it super lightweight, while the Watch 2 goes for a more premium stainless steel build. This change in materials makes the Watch 2R about 20-22 grams lighter, which is great if you prefer a lighter feel on your wrist.
My biggest issue is that these watches are just too big for my hands, as they only come in one size 46mm. It would have been fantastic if OnePlus had made them in 40mm or 42mm options too.
Both watches use the same standard 22mm strap, which means you can easily swap in third-party straps if you want to change things up. However, the Watch 2 uses a durable fluoro rubber strap whereas the Watch 2R comes with a lighter, more flexible silicone band. The silicone is comfy for all-day wear, but it might not feel as high-quality as the rubber band on the Watch 2.
We personally love the Gunmetal gray color of the Watch 2R. It's also available in forest green, but that&rsquo;s not really my style. The Watch 2R has a flat bezel with 24-hour markings for that retro vibe, especially in the green version, while the Watch 2 has a sleek, curved bezel that just screams sophistication.
We just wish the crown on both watches had some cool functionality when you spun it, like the Apple Watch. It feels like a missed opportunity for sure. On the sides, both watches have two physical buttons, but the Watch 2R has a rounded flat design, whereas the Watch 2 sports a more distinctive handle-like structure that looks and feels more premium.
The top crown on both watches handles navigation, bringing you to the home and app drawer. You can even customize the buttons double tap, long press, single tap it's all up to you. The Watch 2R comes with an IP68 rating and 5ATM certification, so it's great for swimming or rainy days, but it misses out on the Military Standard 810H certification that the Watch 2 has.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Display</h3>
Both the Watch 2R and the OnePlus Watch 2 sport a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 and peak brightness levels of 1,000 nits, so you don't have to worry about visibility in bright outdoor conditions. But a notable distinction is the protective glass.&nbsp;
The OnePlus Watch 2 uses 2.5D sapphire crystal glass, enhancing scratch resistance, while the Watch 2R utilizes simpler 2D glass. Both models have somewhat thick display bezels, but the darker watch faces on the Watch 2 help minimize the bezel's visibility.
These watches also feature an always-on display option, keeping the watch face visible even when the screen is inactive.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Connectivity</h3>
Pairing the OnePlus Watch 2R and Watch 2 with your smartphone using the OHealth app is pretty straightforward. It's compatible with any Android device, but sorry iPhone users, the OHealth app is exclusive to the Google Play Store right now. While both watches have NFC, its utility is limited at the moment.
In theory, you can make payments, but Google Pay is not an option just yet. PTC: I'm also a bit disappointed by the lack of an LTE option. Both watches don't have eSIM capabilities, meaning no standalone cellular connectivity. This feature is only available in the Chinese version, probably due to certification issues.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Performance</h3>
The Watch 2R has two chips and runs on two operating systems, just like the more expensive Watch 2. It uses Google's Wear OS 4 for most tasks but also has OnePlus own RTOS for specific functions. The Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip takes care of Wear OS tasks, while the BES2700BP chip handles everyday stuff like tracking your sleep, heart rate, and activities.
Dual chips and dual operating systems do sound complicated but switching between systems is smooth and everything runs efficiently. In our testing, we hardly noticed any stutters on either watches, even while running third-party watch faces.
The Watch 2R comes with about 20 pre-installed, and you can download up to 100 more using the OHealth app. While there are some good options, only two actually use the 24-hour markings on the bezel.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Fitness Tracking</h3>
Then there's all the fitness stuff: you get steps tracking, heart rate monitoring, running, cycling, swimming, and over 100 sports modes. The Watch 2R also has dual-band GPS, which is a big plus for outdoor fitness enthusiasts. We took a walk test with both watches, and the GPS accuracy was pretty spot-on for both.
But the Watch 2R doesn't offer ECG monitoring, fall detection, or period tracking, so it has the same health tracking limitations as the OnePlus Watch 2.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Battery</h3>
The battery is a standout feature for both of these watches. OnePlus claims they can last up to 100 hours in Smart Mode, but that's pretty optimistic. You&rsquo;ll only get that kind of battery life if you turn off features like the always-on display (AOD), GPS, and constant heart rate monitoring.
During our testing with heart rate monitoring and AOD enabled, we got impressive results, needing a charge every three days. For even longer battery life, Power Saver mode fully switches to RTOS, offering up to 12 days of use.
Charging is super easy with the included magnetic puck and detachable cable. The Watch 2R supports fast charging, reaching a full charge in under an hour without needing a specific OnePlus adapter.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2R Verdict</h3>
You get almost the same features as the OnePlus Watch 2 for ₹7,000 less. From battery to display to sensors, it's got everything. If you want a more and premium-looking watch and can stretch your budget, you can consider the OnePlus Watch 2 as well.
But for us, the cheaper Watch 2R checks all the essential boxes, unless you want to use Google Pay or measure your ECG. In that case you might want to go with the Galaxy Watch 6 or the Galaxy Watch 7.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite in Super Silver is a real head-turner! It gleams with a reflective surface, though keep in mind that this finish does show fingerprints easily.
The back is crafted from sturdy plastic but it feels sturdy in the hand thanks to its boxy design and reassuringly solid build quality. &nbsp;
The clicky and tactile volume buttons add a nice touch, and the dual-camera setup with a dual LED flash on the back keeps things clean and simple.
For audio, the stereo speakers are perfectly suitable for casual listening, offering plenty of volume to crank things up 300% if needed. &nbsp;While they may not be the most bass-heavy or detail-rich on the market, they'll get the job done. &nbsp;
In terms of connectivity, you've got the flexibility of dual Nano-SIM slots, expandable storage via microSD card up to a whopping 2TB, and a beloved feature for many - a 3.5mm headphone jack!
One area where the Nord CE4 Lite might not compete with absolute top-tier phones is the haptic feedback. It's still functional, but some users might prefer a crisper response.
On the bright side, the phone boasts an IP54 rating, &nbsp;meaning it can shrug off dust and light splashes with ease.
A feature many OnePlus fans have come to appreciate is the signature alert slider, and unfortunately, it's missing on the Nord CE4 Lite. Hopefully, we'll see it make a comeback in future budget models!

The bezels, especially at the chin, are slightly more visible than one might expect, but they don't significantly affect the overall viewing experience. The fingerprint sensor is responsive and quick too.
While the display offers a crisp and colorful viewing experience, it does not support 4K video playback and HDR content, which is disappointing as some competitors in the same price range offer these features.
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite Performance</h3>
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which has not been upgraded from the previous model, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite.
This processor choice leads to occasional lags, especially when multitasking or running demanding apps. The phone is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage, which should be enough for most users.
Benchmark testing shows that the phone's performance is not outstanding, with scores showing its mid-range results.
In Antutu benchmarks, the phone scored 480049, while Geekbench results showed 905 in single-core and 2056 in multi-core tests. CPU throttling was observed at up to 83% but the graph was almost green.
Gaming capabilities are okay for casual games, but the device struggles with more graphically demanding games. This makes it clear that the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is more suited to everyday tasks rather than performance-heavy applications.

One of the standout features of this device is its large 5,500mAh battery, which supports 80W Supervooc fast charging, a notable improvement that is not commonly seen in this price segment.
