In a move to expand its business, Omni-channel beauty and lifestyle retailer Nykaa has signed an agreement with the Middle East's Apparel Group to recreate omni-channel beauty retail platform in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council).
Under this Nykaa and Apparel Group alliance, the home-grown retailer will leverage the Apparel Group's robust infrastructure network and deep market relationships to build distinctive Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) focused beauty offerings in the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.&nbsp;
"Over the last decade, we have focused on building a formidable assortment of beauty offerings for the Indian consumer, bringing them the most coveted brands, trends and experiences from across the globe. Leading beauty retailer, Nykaa has joined hands with global beauty company Estee Lauder Companies, to launch premium hair care brand - Aveda salons in India. While the contour of the deal was not disclosed, Nykaa has opened a Nykaa-Aveda branded salon in Bengaluru and will follow it up by opening two more in Mumbai and Delhi to start with.According to reports, Aveda will use Nykaa’s distribution network to expand its presence in the domestic market.The salons will be branded ‘Aveda X Nykaa’ and will have a strong focus on offering luxury professional hair care services, among others.

Here is what has transpired-:January 5: An audio recording reportedly of Bharat Pe founder Ashneer Grover talking to a Kotak Bank employee surfaces on Twitter. The audio clip has Grover sounding agitated and even abusive towards the Kotak Bank employee over not getting financing for Nykaa's IPO 
January 6: Grover had claimed that the viral audio clip was “fake” adding that it was a “scamster” who put it out.“Folks. Chill. It’s a fake audio by some scamster trying to extort funds (US$ 240K in bitcoins). I refused to buckle. I’ve got more character. And Internet has got enough scamsters." - Grover subsequently deleted that tweet January 10: Kotak Mahindra Bank acknowledges notice but the statement raises questions about 'fake' audio leak as the bank says they have placed on on record  their objections to inappropriate language used by Mr. Grover. Kotak has also said that  legal action is being pursued. As per reports this is what the legal notice to Kotak stated "Kotak’s refusal to provide IPO financing to our clients at the eleventh hour has completely crippled our clients’ ability to participate in the Nykaa IPO and deprived them of a business/investment opportunity about which they had informed Kotak more than a month in advance of the launch of the IPO. Had Kotak informed our clients at the very beginning that it would be unable to provide IPO financing for the Nykaa IPO, our clients would have approached other financiers who were ready and willing to provide IPO financing to our clients for this IPO."All eyes on Kotak now as reports suggest a notice is being served to Bharat Pe founder as well now.

The beauty business was spearheaded by Noel Tata's mother Simone Tata who then became Chairperson of the beauty arm which opened it's first salon in 1980. But by 1998 the Tata's had had their share of beauty and sold their stake to the consumer products giant Unilever. More than a decade after the sale the Tata Group wants to get dressed and be part of the beauty bonanza that Nykaa is now 'hosting'. In an interview to Bloomberg  Noel Tata, non-executive chairman of Trent Ltd., Tata Group's retail unit stated, "Beauty products will be “a key focus for us” from now on along with footwear and underwear. Extended product line and experimentation with formats for these products are in the offing as we see these as growth areas in retail.”Experts estimate that Indian beauty retail market could be worth over $20 billion by 2025.

The startup boasts of revenues of over Rs 3700&nbsp;cr making it the largest supply-chain company in the country by revenue.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Last and the opposite of least, India&rsquo;s most valuable startup&nbsp;PayTm&nbsp;is reportedly getting into gear for a mega IPO, one that would be India&rsquo;s largest IPO to date. Reports indicate the online merchant payment gateway is looking at a whopping $30 billion valuation. The company in&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;last round of funding was valued at $16 billion. Zomato continues to bleed&nbsp;revenues,&nbsp; reporting&nbsp;Rs 683&nbsp;cr&nbsp;in a net loss against Rs1300&nbsp;cr in revenues for the nine months ending December 2020.&nbsp; Adding the glam factor: Nykaa &nbsp; Putting on a pretty face for Dalal Street is beauty retailer&nbsp;Nykaa, this&nbsp;9 year old&nbsp;e-commerce platform is looking to debut on the stock market with a $500-700 million IPO. Founded by former investment banker Falguni Nayar,&nbsp;Nykaa&nbsp;doubled&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;valuation this year in&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;last funding and is looking to double that to $4.5 billion valuation through&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;listing.&nbsp;Nykaa&nbsp;is exciting brokerage as unlike many other startups is not burning&nbsp;cash ,&nbsp;infact&nbsp;it is already profitable.&nbsp; It is today the largest multi-brand beauty &amp; personal care (BPC) platform in India commanding nearly a third of the online BPC space. With over 15 million registered users and over 1.5 million orders a month&nbsp;Nykaa&nbsp;is also expanding into fashion facing off the competition with Myntra and&nbsp;Ajio.&nbsp;Nykaa&nbsp;ended FY20 with revenues at Rs1800&nbsp;cr&nbsp;and the company turned&nbsp;profitable in&nbsp;FY19. In gear for an IPO:&nbsp;Delhivery Backed by&nbsp;SoftBank, Tiger Global&nbsp;land Carlyle logistics startup&nbsp;Delhivery&nbsp;is planning to list as well within this financial year. The Gurugram-based company was founded in 2011 and is currently valued at $3 billion dollars. The company is looking to raise $500 million via the IPO as per Sahil Barua, co-founder and chief executive officer of&nbsp;Delhivery. Last and the opposite of least, India&rsquo;s most valuable startup&nbsp;PayTm&nbsp;is reportedly getting into gear for a mega IPO, one that would be India&rsquo;s largest IPO to date. Reports indicate the online merchant payment gateway is looking at a whopping $30 billion valuation. The company in&nbsp;it&rsquo;s&nbsp;last round of funding was valued at $16 billion. In the unlisted market space,&nbsp;PayTm&nbsp;shares soared to as high as Rs 27,500/share ahead of the IPO.
