Indian boxer Nitu Ghanghas won her maiden gold in the Women's World Boxing Championships in the 48-kg category.&nbsp;
Nitu defeated Mongolia's Altantsetseg Lutsaikhan 5-0 in the final.&nbsp;
The 22-year-old Indian pugilist dominated the game from the start and won the final by unanimous decison.
2022 CWG champion Nitu joined the leagues of Mary Kom, Laishram Sarita Devi, Jenny RL, Lekha KC and Nikhat Zareen.&nbsp;
While every other player has won the honour once, Mary Kom is the only pugilist to bag the medal six times.

Lovlina beat Li Qian of China 4-1 to book her maiden appearance in the title round of the prestigious championships.

Boxers Lovlina Borgohain and Saweety Boora marched into the finals of the Women's World Championships with stellar wins in the semifinals.
While Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina beat Li Qian of China 4-1 to book her maiden appearance in the title round, Saweety reached her second World Championships final dispatching Sue-Emma Greentree of Australia 4-3.

Reigning world champion Nikhat Zareen continued her flawless run at the Women's World Boxing Championships, as the Indian boxer beat Colombia's Ingrid Valencia to punch her way into the final of the 50kg category.
Earlier, Commonwealth Games champion Nitu Ghanghas also advanced to the final after beating Kazhakhstan's Alua Balkibekova after a split decision.
Both boxers are now assured of at least a silver.

Reigning world champion Nikhat Zareen beat her opponent from Thailand to enter the World Boxing Championship semi-finals in the 50 kg category on Wednesday.&nbsp;
The 26-year-old outpunched her opponent with the final verdict of a 5-2 split decision.
Apart from her, Commonwealth Games champion Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora also assured India of medals in the 48kg and 81kg categories respectively at the ongoing event in New Delhi.
However, Sakshi Choudhary (52kg) and last edition's bronze medallist Manisha Moun (57kg), failed to reach the last-four stage.
