<p>Father of the minor wrestler, who accused former Wrestling Federation of India chief BrijBhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment, made a contrasting statement on Wednesday.</p>
<p>In a&nbsp; chat with News18 and India Today, the father of a 17-year-old wrestler said that they had levelled allegations of sexual assault in a state of anger after WFI discriminated against his daughter.</p>
<p>'We have changed my statement under Section 164 before a magistrate on June 5. I was alone in this fight as nobody helped me at that time, except the wrestlers&rsquo; fraternity. My family has been living in trauma since the matter was reported. On June 5, we clarified in the Supreme Court that there was no sexual assault by the WFI chief. But, there are allegations of discrimination against WFI,' he added.</p>
<p>Her father also clarified that they changed their statement without any greed, pressure, or fear. 'It is absolutely correct that my daughter is a minor. We have not withdrawn the case, just changed the statement,' he concluded.</p>

<h2>Govt is ready to accept wrestlers' demand but action against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh will be only after the chargesheet</h2>

<p>Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has ensured the protesting wrestlers that a chargesheet will be filed against BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh by June 15. The government asked them to not hold any protest rallies till police completes its probe into sexual harassment allegations against Former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh by June 15.</p>
<p>The wrestlers, after a nearly five-hour meeting with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, said the government has also assured them that the police will withdraw the FIRs filed against them.</p>
<p>The wrestlers were booked for violation of law and order on May 28 when they marched towards the new Parliament building without permission to hold 'Mahila Samman Mahapachayat'.</p>
<p>The meeting was attended by Olympic medallists Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, her husband Satyawart Kadiyan and Jitender Kinha.</p>
<p>"We were told that police investigation will be complete by June 15. Till then, we have been asked to wait and suspend the protest," Sakshi Malik told reporters after the meeting.</p>
<p>"The Delhi police will also withdraw the FIRs filed against the wrestlers lodged on May 28," she added.</p>
<p>Both Malik and Punia asserted that their agitation was not yet over and they have suspended their protest only till June 15 as requested by the government.</p>
<p>Later addressing a press conference, Thakur said the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections be held by June 30.</p>
<p>The crucial meeting was called by Thakur to break the deadlock.</p>

<p>India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said the tough decision to leave out the world's number one ranked bowler Ravichandran Ashwin from the World Test Championship final was based purely on conditions.</p>
<p>Conditions have been cold and overcast at The Oval, especially in the morning, over the past three days but day one saw bright sunshine in the afternoon and evening session.</p>
<p>"It is always a very difficult decision to drop a champion bowler like him. Looking at the conditions in the morning we thought an additional seamer would be beneficial.</p>
<p>"It has also worked in the past for us. Seamers have done well out here for us. You can always look back and say that additional spinner would have been beneficial but we took the call looking at the conditions," said Mhambrey, after Australia reached 327 for three on day one after being put in to bat.</p>
<p>Asked what kind of communications take place with the player who is not included in the eleven, he said: "When team discussion happens, we talk about composition over a period of days. We trained here for three four days before the game and seeing the wicket, conversations happen with players.</p>
<p>"The players also understand that (the importance of team combination)." The bowling coach said India can surely bounce back in the game.</p>
<p>"The second new ball did a bit. The morning session will be important. <p>Mahmbrey further informed that Umesh Yadav who bowled only 14 overs in the day had no fitness issues. He also felt bowlers could have done better.</p>
<p>"We could have been more disciplined. After 12-13 overs, we lacked discipline. I felt we conceded more runs that we would have preferred," Mhambrey said adding that they could have employed the short ball tactics earlier than they did.&nbsp;</p>
