Father of the minor wrestler, who accused former Wrestling Federation of India chief BrijBhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment, made a contrasting statement on Wednesday.
In a&nbsp; chat with News18 and India Today, the father of a 17-year-old wrestler said that they had levelled allegations of sexual assault in a state of anger after WFI discriminated against his daughter.
'We have changed my statement under Section 164 before a magistrate on June 5. I was alone in this fight as nobody helped me at that time, except the wrestlers&rsquo; fraternity. My family has been living in trauma since the matter was reported. On June 5, we clarified in the Supreme Court that there was no sexual assault by the WFI chief. But, there are allegations of discrimination against WFI,' he added.
Her father also clarified that they changed their statement without any greed, pressure, or fear. 'It is absolutely correct that my daughter is a minor. We have not withdrawn the case, just changed the statement,' he concluded.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has ensured the protesting wrestlers that a chargesheet will be filed against BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh by June 15. The government asked them to not hold any protest rallies till police completes its probe into sexual harassment allegations against Former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh by June 15.
The wrestlers, after a nearly five-hour meeting with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, said the government has also assured them that the police will withdraw the FIRs filed against them.
The wrestlers were booked for violation of law and order on May 28 when they marched towards the new Parliament building without permission to hold 'Mahila Samman Mahapachayat'.
The meeting was attended by Olympic medallists Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, her husband Satyawart Kadiyan and Jitender Kinha.
"We were told that police investigation will be complete by June 15. Till then, we have been asked to wait and suspend the protest," Sakshi Malik told reporters after the meeting.
"The Delhi police will also withdraw the FIRs filed against the wrestlers lodged on May 28," she added.
Both Malik and Punia asserted that their agitation was not yet over and they have suspended their protest only till June 15 as requested by the government.
Later addressing a press conference, Thakur said the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections be held by June 30.
The crucial meeting was called by Thakur to break the deadlock.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur has said that the government is willing to have discussions with the wrestlers who are protesting against Bhartiya Janta Party MP and former chief of the Wrestling Federation of India Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.&nbsp;
The Sports minister took to Twitter to inform about the decision past midnight. In his Teeet, Thakur wrote, 'The government is willing to have a discussion with the wrestlers on their issues. I have once again invited the wrestlers for the same'
The Tweet came four days after the wrestlers' meeting with Amit Shah where as per reports they discussed the status of the investigation against Singh.
The top wrestlers have levelled the allegation of sexual harassment and misconduct against the 6-time MP.

A crucial meeting between the top wrestlers, led by Olympic medallist Bajrang Punia, and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur began at his residence on Wednesday morning as the government continued its effort to strike a deal with the protesting grapplers, who are demanding the arrest of WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The meeting was called upon by Thakur to break the deadlock as the wrestlers have been adamant that they will continue their agitation till Singh, who they have accused of sexual harassment, is arrested.

Punia, Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik and her wrestler husband Satyawart Kadiyan, arrived at the minister's house for the meeting.
Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait, who has been supporting the wrestlers in their protest, is not part of the meeting.
The wrestlers resumed their protest against Singh and the national federation on April 23 at Jantar Mantar.
They were removed from the protest site on May 28 when the police detained them for violation of law and order after they began their march to the new Parliament building without permission.
It is the second round of meeting between the government and protesting wrestlers in a space of five days. The wrestlers had met Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday night and apprised him of their demands.
While the government is willing to accept most of their demands, the arrest of Singh, who is also a BJP MP, remains the bone of contention.
The wrestlers had also resumed their duties with the Northern Railways, last week. Sakshi Malik and Punia are attached with Railways as OSD.
"The wrestlers look positive in their approach. We are hoping for a resolution today. The idea is that the sport should not suffer," said a sports ministry official ahead of the meeting.

India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said the tough decision to leave out the world's number one ranked bowler Ravichandran Ashwin from the World Test Championship final was based purely on conditions.
Conditions have been cold and overcast at The Oval, especially in the morning, over the past three days but day one saw bright sunshine in the afternoon and evening session.
"It is always a very difficult decision to drop a champion bowler like him. Looking at the conditions in the morning we thought an additional seamer would be beneficial.
"It has also worked in the past for us. Seamers have done well out here for us. You can always look back and say that additional spinner would have been beneficial but we took the call looking at the conditions," said Mhambrey, after Australia reached 327 for three on day one after being put in to bat.
Asked what kind of communications take place with the player who is not included in the eleven, he said: "When team discussion happens, we talk about composition over a period of days. We trained here for three four days before the game and seeing the wicket, conversations happen with players.
"The players also understand that (the importance of team combination)." The bowling coach said India can surely bounce back in the game.
"The second new ball did a bit. The morning session will be important. The wicket played better than our expectations in the last two sessions today,&rdquo; he said. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar slammed the Team's decision to drop Ashwin out of the Playing XI. While Gavaskar said, 'You are playing WTC final and you don't play the no. 1 test bowler, this decision is beyond my understanding. He added that Ashwin has traditionally performed well against Aussies and it is shocking taht there is no off spinner against this side.&nbsp; &nbsp;
Mahmbrey further informed that Umesh Yadav who bowled only 14 overs in the day had no fitness issues. He also felt bowlers could have done better.
"We could have been more disciplined. After 12-13 overs, we lacked discipline. I felt we conceded more runs that we would have preferred," Mhambrey said adding that they could have employed the short ball tactics earlier than they did.&nbsp;

Kohli's comments on Smith would be a huge accolade on the Australian as it came from another batting stalwart of the current generation.
"According to me, Steve Smith is the best Test player of this generation. He has displayed that, his adaptability is absolutely brilliant. You take any cricketer of this generation," Kohli said ahead of the ongoing World Test Championship final between India and Australia.
"Everybody knows his record, in 85-90 Tests, he has an average of 60 which is quite unbelievable. The consistency and impact with which he scores runs, I haven't seen any Test player doing that in last 10 years. It is credit to his skill and temperament," Kohli Star Sports.
